Anyone playing Civ4 here?

I am a real Civilization VI fan. When I have some free time (which unfortunately in not much recently) I play Civilization. In fact I like all of the Civilization games except Civ V which I still have not had the chance to play because my PC does not meet the requirements for it. I am looking for other Civilization fans with whom to exchange game strategies. Are there any around?

I played CIV 4 a lot, on almost all of the higher difficulties right up to Deity in a few games, my advice is simple, learn the value of individual technologies... I always go for war techonologies first, than while my units are one grade higher than everyone elses I try to conquer rapidly in a lighting style as many prospering cities as I can, almost always attacking the strongest civilization and taking its richests towns...when somebody also acquires units of the same category I always still try to get a few more towns but also try to make peace with everyone, while you have stronger units they will make peace without many demands, they won't think ahead that in a few turns they will have upgraded units as well, if you wait until then they will make horrible demands! Then while you are at peace built courthouses and adopt policies that reduce town costs (you will have many more towns than your economy can handle) while still building war units, as soon as you research a new unit technology type try everything to get some money to get it upgraded and built new ones and start the circle of conquering again...soon you will simply be the biggest player on the map and while some will have better technologies you will simply have too many big towns for them to stand a chance against you... This tactic works ONLY on computer players (haven't played with humans so I dunno if anyone would fall for it) and ONLY if there are quite a few players on a map (I usually play with 12 or more players, I simply like this way), havenn't ever tried it in a game of lets say 2 or 3 players, but have won over 60 large/huge maps one after another on Emperor, about 5 or so on Immortal and two on Deity... To learn it best go with Earth18civ map and choose a race in europe (conquer at least 2 neighbor directly with axeman or even basic infantry)...

I have it installed on my mac and play it some, when I have time, though that is not very often. And unfortunately I could use some strategy help as well as I am not too good at it, but I do enjoy the game, lol. Sorry I could not be of more help.
