My laptop warranty is over and company has offered me to extend that at some rate on per annum basis. but that rate seems to be very high to me. so i could not go with that. what are your perspective in this context. do you extend the warranty of your pcs or laptops.

Don't do it, you simply waste your money on those warranties. The laptop and computer is getting cheaper and cheaper everyday, you shouldn't need to worry about getting a new one with expensive price. But putting money on those warranty just won't help you anything. I think majority of those laptops nowadays are reliable than before.

I listen to a financial advisor on the radio on a regular basis and he doesn't recommend extended warranties on anything, except sometimes on vehicles. The reason that he gives for this is that most items depriciate rapidly and that means that the money that you have spent on the extended warranty costs you far more than it would cost you to buy a replacement item should something go wrong with the item that you have.
