I used to frequent this site quite a lot. But lately , I don't know much about the developments of Hubpages. I'm more active here in myLot although I can go missing a few weeks , months or whatever. The question is do you believe that you can make money in Hubpages to supplement your income besides your day job? I know that a lot of people don't believe in making money online but I see people whipping articles there day in and out so it makes me wonder. Those who have been paid will be especially welcome to answer. I have read that someone has earned $1500 on one given month there before. Combined with 1 accounts or niche accounts I'm not sure. So let's hear your experiences or thoughts about www.hubpages.com (not referral link). Have a good one folks.

Kiddo ..I am not on hubpages. And I wouldnt mind your referral link. You are still my favorite nephew you know. :) And Saphy my favorite daughter. She calls me ma. Makes me feel great. Now, coming to hubpages and earnings. I think off and on you need to load an article or two. It would take you at least five to seven years to get a meaningful return. But it cant do much except help you cover some small insurance. That is as honest as it can get.

As I see it, it is still worth it. That is because it can become a supplementary income at your retirement. Post five to 10 per month in each of these sites. Fill it, shut it and forget it. As time goes, the income will also increase. You just have to ensure that the topics are something people would like to read.

I wrote a couple of hubs but found it entirely too time consuming. Dunno about vast earnings there. I didn't earn anything. At least I've gotten a few hundred $ from Triond and AC (now Yahoo) so I stick with them.

I do not know about the earnings on Hubpages, but I do know that you can earn some money online as I do it each month. I currently earn about $100 per month writing for a site known as Associated Content. They also offer upfront payments for the articles that you write.

Hi Zed! I have had a Hubpages account for at least 3 years now but I have not been active there for at least two. I joined Squidoo not long before Hubpages and preferred the layout and style of Squidoo so I built pages there instead. They are similar but a little different and I have been paid at Squidoo many times. I am not sure which site would pay more for your time spent, but I imagine that they would be similar. I think that you could make a small amount of money similar to here from your direct activity, but if you get enough traffic to the pages and have affiliate links which create sales on them, then that is additional income which it is harder to get here.
