Done a few silly things! I always laugh. When it happens to someone else, I say, "Do that again, I missed the beginning!", with a laugh or smiling expression to make it clear that I an joking. Of course, if they had fallen down, I would offer to help them get up.

My strategy is to laugh, whether I'm hurt or not. Now, that might not sound like a sane decision, but I find if I laugh (at myself) others laugh too and it takes the tension out of it. Plus, if I laugh first, it shows that it was no big deal, and that I'm comfortable enough with myself to laugh at myself. After my face registers the 'surprise look', then I'll usually make an exaggerated 'oops look' and then laugh. I'm from the 'never let 'em see you sweat...or cry' generation. For me, the laugh response works ok, and then if my ego really got busted, I might cry later when nobody's around. Everybody has their 'duh' moments. I figure at least when I'm laughing, if others are laughing, they're laughing WITH me, and not AT me lol.

I would definitely laugh. At least they won't know how embarrassed I was. Being clumsy, I fall a lot and if someone notice, I cover up by laughing. Then I just walk away like I didn't care. Of course they don't know the truth either.
