This is for games that is so addicted to play games. You better read the short story of Wang Gang, who died because of excessive gaming. We all know that it is unhealthy to play the whole day skipping meals and use of restroom, so can you imagine playing games 24 hours. Parents really need to look after their gamer children, they need to set limitation on playing hours. I love to play games but there are still things that I love to do like watching movie on my phone, watching Tv, reading books and sleeping. I give my self a limitation when playing games and watching movie which I always do. Here is the link for the late Wang Gang's story who died last May 15, 2011 (not referral link) http://news.indonewyork.com/index.php?mod=article&cat=Life&article=1867.

Interesting post. Well, I'm an avid gamer but not really an addict. I used to spend loads of time in front of my game console which damaged my eyes. Haha, so now, I'm wearing glasses and, to add to that, I'm astigmatic which prevents me from spending time in front of the console, handheld or PC for long periods of time or I'd get a migraine. Lesson learned: Take everything in moderation. :)

I spend time in playing as much as I could but when my migraine attack and I feel sleepy, I stop, there's nothing I can do but to stop. Could it be that I am astigmatic too? I use computer mostly the whole working time and like today I feel dizzy and I kept on yawning. I always felt this too when I am riding in bus or reading while in moving object. I have this since child and it lessen now but I think it's coming back.

Well, astigmatism is really an eye affliction. I'm not sure if you've but if you need glasses and is nearsighted, then maybe you do. But one thing is for sure, migraine may indicate that your eyesight is going bad. :/

Playing games is just a kind of entertainment. It provides us a way to get rid of upset mood, exhausted body or emotional pressure. But excessive games do lot of harm not only physically but also mentally. It drives you give up meals and sleep, and make you separated from those who really care about you. So how to keep it under control is seriously a big problem. It needs a great deal of efforts to set limitation on playing hours. I hope everyone can make proper arrangements for playing games.

One of the most addicted game right now is RAN online games, my bf is so hooked on this game. They invested time and money only for this game. It takes a lot of hours just to level up. I lend him my pc so he can play and do internet since he has no work, thank God that it doesn't have internet line so he use the broadband to access the net, he load it once in a while. He also go the computer shop to play the game. He also play DOTA on my pc. He has limitation cause after my office hours we go to my place and hang out there. He has time to sleep and take other household chores. Limitation is very important and I hope like you will make a limitation for them selves.

Gaming and Internet addiction is a growing problem facing many families, couples, and individuals both young and old. This psychological disorder is defined as uncontrolled gaming and Internet-related behavior which interferes with or impairs normal functioning, and causes severe emotional distress for the individual, their family, friends, or their loved ones. Gaming and Internet addiction can also disrupt one’s academic performance, or their job performance.I am not addicted to any games and i rarely play game in computer.

Even the young ones plays a game as young as 3 years old has a facebook account for playing games. My niece, who is 1 year old is curious on my cellphone, whenever she's around I am holding my phone she even touch the screen as if she knows how to use it. It's parents turn to look after their children, young or old. They need to put boundaries on engaging into games or using their children's gadget.

I love playing games and I consider myself as an addict gamer, and I really know that there is bad effects especially in our health and though I am a game addict I am also conscious in my health as well, so I have time to play games in a limit of time to avoid some sickness especially in my eyes.

I've heard or maybe seen on TV that there is a disease on the hand aside from the eyes and lungs due to excessive using of mouse. It's more like arthritis but it has different terms and the victim is a young boy. So sad that at his young age he has to go through that rare disease.

Hi there! You know you really have to look after your soon while playing and give him a time frame as well as schedule. You have to be authoritative when it comes to this matter. Kids nowadays seems not listening to their parents so you have to make an effort to make him listen to you. It is not healthy to play games for a long hours.

I used to play games for hours but I will never like Wang Gang that skip meal, sleep and even go to toilet. That is really too much, for me that is actually not consider as enjoying the game but it is a torture, why torture yourself by not giving yourself rest after playing for few hours?

I can be addicted to computer games as well. This is especially serious when I am getting bored alone in my school hostel. However, I am used to control myself not to play too much games. I have purposely set some self-principles to fight against addiction.

Self-discipline is very important, besides we need to live and in order to do that we need to work. In your case, you are still going to school, you must concentrate in your studies and not in games. You can play games for about maximum of 1-2 hours or else it will ruin your studies. I'm lucky that when the time I am studying in college, there is no cellphone and other gadgets yet so I am concentrated in my studies.

There is the moment in our life that we get hooked to something like playing games and aiming to finish it. Before my sister is addicted to gameboy and she still plays it until midnight. But that happened once or twice only. The good benefit it gives to us is that it makes us happy when winning the game and a learning tool too in other games.

I am a game addict, but I don't need to be reminded.Gamers like me know my limits. How sad that few gamers are so attached to their game they forget they have a life to live in, but it's not just games, sometimes watching tv's and moovies or eating can cause complications too if you're not taking care of yourself so to get to the bottomline : Put everything with moderation.
