I'm currently a 4th year animal science student. I hope to eventually become a veterinarian, although I'm not sure what kind yet. I like working with wildlife and exotic animals. But I'm also interested in large animals. I definitely wouldn't be just a dog and cat vet, but wildlife vets hardly make any money at all, so it's a tough choice.

Is money your ultimate goal, or doing something you really love and are passionate about?

I'd rather do something I'm passionate about than just worry about money. However, a lot of wildlife vets only make around $30,000 a year which is not really enough to live on out here. So I kind of want to do something that will not leave me dirt poor and relying on someone else, but that I'll enjoy. I've thought about working with zoo animals instead of with wildlife rehab centers, so that would be something I'd consider as well. I definitely don't need to be rich or anything, but I'd like to not have to worry about money all the time.
