Twins, so alike yet so different...

So, my mom just called me up and told me that my aunt (her twin sister) was ranting about my cousin, who is so fond of traveling, she usually just tells her mom that she's in "place" rather than tell her she's going there beforehand...my mom was like, she just never lets go... So, I'm smiling right now, because I got to thinking that I'm so blessed to have the more understanding twin for a mother, she sometimes doesn't let me go on travels but it was way back when I was on college, while my aunt doesn't let my cousin to travel at all even now that she's earning on her own...and that even though they look so alike their attitudes really differ, I'm close to my mom's twin too and she's nice but really just very strict, my mom seldom spanked me when I was young but my aunt would!! If she thinks I'm disrespecting my mom already, she's like my mom too though...they have a lot of similar values though, like their respect and love for gram, their faith in God, but their temperaments are really so different, my mom is very mellow while my aunt is kind of hard... Do you know some people who are twins? Do you see their differences and similarities? What are they?

Hi marapp I don't see any similarities in twins except for physical appearance. As in my case i have twin children which are not alike in appearance also. Mine is one daughter & a son they both are very dissimilar. My son is shy unlike my daughter. My daughter is intelligent unlike my son. I think when they will grow there will be more dissimilarity as there are physiological factors which effect behavior of the person. The environment of your aunt must be totally different from yours thats why there is lot of difference in them.

Ooh, they grew up together and they are very close but they're just different in temperaments... I see that your twins are different, since they are a boy and a girl...

I also think they are different because they are boy and a girl but i think if they were of same gender then also they would have been different in nature.

hi marapplestiffy oh yes I worked with twins in the hospital many yrs back. We were all nurse's aides. One twin was exgtremely outgoing and was diabetic, the other twin was a little shorter and more introspective. The outgoing twin just could not seem to get a boyfriend while the more introverted twin had a steady boyfriend she had had since they were fifteen. they looked alike and their voices were identical but their temperments were sure different. the outgoing twin was very picky about making friends while the supposed introvert really enjoyed working with us all. The extroverted one seemed at times to rile some of the patients while the introvert shy sister made all the patients say what a nice girl she was. Both of them were gifted children and graduated from high school at fifteen and were working in our hospital at 18 Now I do not remember their names but for twins who looked as alike as peas in a pod, they were so different. the outgoing one was the one who had just a few good friends while the supposed extroverted one had a dozen friend to her name. I liked both of them but the introerted one was a close friend of mine.

Twins - Spot the difference.
Yes you are blessed to have that more understanding one. You should really be thankful. Indeed twins especially if identical could look the same in facial features but the characters will always differ in one way or another. I experience that with our twins and sometimes I wanna go crazy because sometimes they seem to shift in behavior.

You are lucky to have the more understanding twin sister, eh? It might be that she is fearful that something might happen to her while gone. My mom was overly protective of me when I was a teen because she had heard this terrible story of what happened to young girl about my same age and it scared her.
