Stargate: Universe

For several months now an independent broadcast station in my area has been showing reruns of Stargate: Universe on the weekends. Since I don't get the SyFy channel, I had not been able to watch it before. It is a very good and very well made show. The writing, plots and acting are all topnotch. Another outstanding part of the show is the music used during the episodes and how well it sets the mood and fits what is happening at the time. So I am very upset that apparently SyFy has cancelled the show after something like two seasons or less and from what I have read they will be showing wrestling instead. Why don't they just change the name from SyFy to WrFy or something. I wish some other network would pick it up but it is probably too late. Hey CW you missed a great chance here.

I'm a little miffed as well that SG:U was cancelled. It was an amazing show

SGU started out on Friday nights but was bumped to late Monday night to makeroom for wrestling. Then they cancelled it for too much cost and a lack of viewers. They also killed plans for a final Stargae movie which would have taken in all 3 shows. They recently moved Sanctuar to Monday nights also which I hopedoesn't signal something. I seems like Tuesday night might be the only night for new shows on SyFy since Warehouse 13 and Alphas are supposed to run then.

well, Stargate: Universe wasn't getting the kind of viewing that either SG1 or Atlantis was getting and since its expensive to film, I can see why they let it go - but you have got me WHAT wrestling has to do with science fiction, except that it is probably cheap

I just found it on Netflix so I am watching the series again too. I love SyFy shows and movies. I agree with you about the wrestling - that never made sense to me either.
