Rafael Nadal defeated Roger Federer in the French Open Finals this year, proving that he is the best man on clay currently. However on grass, it is a different story where Roger is a formidable foe. But Nadal has beaten Federer in a Wimbledon Final before, so he is not a walkover either. Also Novak is really angry. He lost to Federer in the French Open semifinal and in the process, not only lost the chance to win the French Open but also lost the chance to be number 1, not to mention the fact that his unbeaten streak came to an end. So who will win the Wimbledon this year?

The thing that irks me is that nadal has a smooth ride to finals, where as federer-djokovic has to battle out in the semis, I would have expected a federer-djokovic final, which is almost impossible to happen. Andatlast my favourite for this Grandslams is ROger :)

The problem with murray these days though he is considered haveing skills next only to roger in the current generations, is that he does surrender meekly in big accasions. That was what happened in both AO2010 and 2011 finals, he never gave any fights

Earlier, the same had been said about Tim Henman, but he turned out to be a major failure. A lot was expected of him, but.... I hope the same does not happen to Andy Murray. We all know that he has the talent, but does he have the temperament?

I feel that the Rafa - Murray semifinal on grass will be a delight to watch as well. Also I feel that if Rafa makes it to the final and Federer also does, it will be a nice contest to watch, because Rafa seems to be the only player who can realistically beat Roger on grass. But in the end I feel that Federer will prevail.

Wimbledon is always the real tester and Nadal will be wary since he is a clay court artist and grass is a surface he has to get used to. Federer has a chance here. But then I am not watching tennis for sometime now, so who are the young upstarts who would be gunning for the top two?

Its the same two again. However Novak could be a real threat. He is in awesome form for sometime now.

i think Novak can unless he gets upset by losing a point if he has to play either Federer or Nadal because every points counts a lot if you playing Federer or Nadal. Novak cant afford to lose a point against these guys or break of a serve.

Last year, the roles were reversed. So Federer won the French while Nadal won the Wimbledon. This year the normal service has been restored by Nadal by winning the French Open. So I would expect Federer to return the favor and win at Wimbledon. The usual suspects Djokovic and Murray would be talked about. But as Federer showed Djokovic, at the biggest stage, he still needs to go up a level!! Cheers! Ram

I agree with you fully. Now is the time for Federer to return the favour.

Age is the factor, there is five years between Rafa, Novak and Roger. That is a lot at the top level. So, grass, where the rallies will be shorter, favours the older man. Also, Roger's backhand works a lot better on grass where the bounce is less. I'm going with Roger. Novak is still a level below Roger and Rafa, though he is improving fast.

For me it's soo unpredictable, though Nadal won at French Open and has won twice n Wimbledon it doesn't guarantee that he will lift it up again this year. Djoko is emerging as the one who should be watch as Federer will be raise his level to win back again in his favourite surface. I u ask me to choose who should win, I can't choose coz I want 3 player to win this. I want Rafael Nadal win it too for him to close the gap of 16 Grand Slam that Feder had, but then I want Djoko to, because he such a hot guy - really handsome, macho, sexy. Andy Murray as he is UK....hahaha

So, poor Federer is the only one who has been left out. So whoever wins, chances are 75% that one of your favourites wins. Why don't I go the last one left, Federer?

I'm rooting to Federer and I stayed really happy with his perfomance in the semi final of the French Open, he proved to everyone that he still is a great player and still have a lot of tennis to play before he ended his carrer. I think that the hard player to beat on Wimbledon will be Djokovic, he's having a great year and also because I really don't think Nadal too strong playing on the grass.

Yes, the French Open showed that that he still has a lot of steam left in him, especially the semifinal. Yes I am rooting for Federer too.

Ill always surport roger, but onto the real topic, I think it really depends on who has the upper hand advantages on the field.

I'm going to support Roger too and for his sake, I hope he wins. But it is no doubt an uphill task. Even the die-hard Roger fans, now have serious doubts.

I am hoping that Roddick can finally come up with the goods. He did have that epic match with Federer in the final a few years ago and lost mainly because of an injury. However, Roddick has not been doing all that well lately, so I guess I have to hope that Djokovic can win it since I don't like Federer or Nadal.

Hope is good and Novak is a good player. But does he have it in him to beat Federer at Wimbledon, on clay yes but on grass, I don't think so.

I tend to look further than the two mentioned being Federer and Nadal. I think that Novak Djokovic has a great chance to win the tournament this year. He has won the Australian Open once so he is more than capable of winning.

The Australian Open is a different proposition. However, no one can deny that he has a wonderful chance. Also he must be mentally free of all the excess baggage he carried to the French Open. So many records were at stake and also the chance to be number 1. Now he wont have that extra pressure.

Two things were proven this year. Nadal is beatable on clay and any other surfaece (very tough final) and Secondly You can never write off the FedExpress. Wimbledon belongs to either Murray or well I am going to pick a surprise player perhpas A-Rod or Del Potro

All the best. But if I am to pick three choices it will be the top 3 ranked players. No one else seems to have a chance. Murray is good but he lacks the killer instinct of the top 3.

Dear Amit, It is difficult to predict. Now about ten years back, I would have predicted Roger Federer. But now it is hard predict. You have the quick and relentless Nadal. Then there is the flair of Djokovic and then there is the talent of Federer. Federer has had the edge over Djokovic. Djokovic has pushed Nadal in the last year or so. And yet Nadal has had the edge over Federer. It has been a three way relationship. But then in any tournament, we have to look at who peaks at the right time. We will have a clearer Idea towards the eighth round or so.. But then if I still have to predict something, then I would go with Federer. Just the fact that he has won the title so many times, then Nadal might be a bit burnt out from the French Open, and Federer has had the better of Djokovic in the semi finals of the French Open. All these factors make the tide in favour of Federer. But with these three one can never say for sure. Lets not count Andy Murray out either. With the crowd behind him, who knows he might lift his game up....... What I can say for sure is that it will be an exciting tournament.... Share your views... Balu

Sure it will be an exciting contest and Murray is no walkover. But sometimes, crowd pressure can be counter productive. I feel that Murray bucles under pressure. I would go with Federer even now.

I'm predicting that Roger will win his 17th and final Grand Slam title at Wimbledon. If the draw works out the same, then we might once again see Nadal-Federer in the Final with Roger getting the better of Rafa and getting his own record-tying 6th major championship on grass.

I would certainly agree with you though partially. Federer is sure to win the Wimbledon for the 6th time. But whether it will be his last, I doubt. Remember Sampras won his last grand slam at an age of 31 yrs and Agassi at 32 yrs. Federer is only 29. Also Federer is physically much stronger. Ever since he started playing, he has hardly skipped any tournament. His health and consistency is amazing. Also he seems to be mentally very fit.

the winner depends on the semi final draw if the semi final is between federer and djokovic then federer is shure to win the match as he hes upper hand on djokovic and the match is in grass court and the finals is between federer and nada, this match result is hard to expect .... if federer meets nadal in semis then djokovic will be one of the finalist and the if winner of this is match is federer then then the title is again for federer and if nadal wins the match then he should be ready to lift runner up trophy as he loses again to djokovic.......

It seems like you have already made up your mind as to how the tournament is going to play. By the way, since the seedings are unlikely to change no 2 seed Novak plays no 3 Federer and no 1 Nadal plays no 4. If all seeds come through to the semis.

It's still too early to tell but I am hoping Rafael Nadal wins Wimbledon again! It'll really be great seeing him win on this surface again. :) He's such a humble player. You are right about Novak, he's been having a great year. He'll be ready for the Wimbledon as well. As far as Federer is concerned, he might still be the favorite to win--he still has it. Anyway, VAMOS RAFA!

Well I feel its going to be a real close contest between those 3 Roger has always been superb here almost invincible but a age of kind of caught with him so he is not that goood but good enough to win Nadal is probably the favorite he has done when Roger was in his best so no reason why he can't do it right now Novak is another contender he has been in great Form this year and has been beaten only once So as of now I would say Nadal

Again, I will go with Roger. I feel Nadal may not be able to reach the Finals. Someone in the draw will defeat Nadal in the 4th round or quarter finals.
