The Mavs lead the series 3-2, and can clinch the nba championship in game 6. But the Heat wants to extend the series and hoist the nba trophy before its home crowd. Will the Mavs close it out in game 6?

I think the Mavericks are strong enough to close it out in game 6. With everyone in media making excuses and going over all the ways the Miami Heat are losing the series, they're forgetting one important factor - the Mavs are winning! Because it's LeBron James and Dwayne Wade, it is inconceivable to front-runners like those guys on ESPN that they can be defeated. But how soon we all forget! The Mavs swept the defending champions. And while everyone was saying how wrong something was with the Lakers, they sure didn't say it when the Lakers were handing out beatdowns to the Hornets or after finishing as the 2 seed in the Western Conference. The Mavs are a better team, in my opinion. Many so-called "experts" are saying that the series should be over, that Miami should have won already. But why? Just because Miami had a lead in some of these ball games? That's a dumb, ridiculous standard. If that's the case, every single team to ever lead by at least 1 point should never lose a game. The excuse-making and James-bashing is unnecessary and frankly a little childish. The fact of the matter is that these sportscasters and the rest of the front-runners have been singing the praises of Wade and James for years now. They have a vested interest in the Heat winning. They suddenly look like experts if they do. If there is any justice at all, the basketball gods will shine on Dallas in game 6 and let this thing be done with.

i think they probably will. they will come wanting to close the series because no team wants a game 7 in the finals or any playoff series for that matter. also they are the better team but they don't have the better players. the heat need better chemistry.

Yeah. Boston made the mistake last year of not showing up for game 6. Come game 7, that home court made all teh difference.

Personally, I think it is really hard to determine. Mavs are pretty good in closing out a game, but Heat can sometimes become unpredictable.. Let's just wait and hope for the best. GO MAVS!

yeah, the mavs are good in closing out games when they had the first opportunities all throughout the playoff series. however, the heat may turn the tide since it will be played in its home court. i am excited for game 6.
