Recently, I have not been busy-ing myself with school work or any work for that matter, the reason behind my engagement in scrapbook making. I had always found fondness in making something out of scraps to beautify my photo set. Since I find scrapbook making the usual way, over-rated, I decided to make scrapbooks digital. I would edit pictures, design them, and making a collage then and there on my laptop.. and voila, I have created a page. It's only a matter of time before I print everything up and a scrapbook would then be complete. It's challenging and innotive, in my opinion.. What do you think?

scrapbook layout - the christmas lights display in bristol, tn
I've been scrapbooking since 2005, I never got into the digital scrapbooking though. I love shopping for paper and cardstock, along with all the embellishments you can add to your pages. I also like being able to explore new techniques and distressing the edges of the paper. I have been to 4 weekend scrapbook retreats, they are so much fun, getting to meet other ladies that are scrapbookers and seeing their ideas. I also have a cricut, that I love using, with the different cartridges, you can add so much personality to each layout. I for one will be sticking to the 'traditional' scrapbooking, I am working on one now for a friend, it's his senior year in high school and he wants to give it to his mom, of all the newspaper clippings, pictures, etc of his football season.

I am fond of scrapbooking. I love the idea, the fun, the fancy product it goes with after - it keeps my mind occupied - in such way I am also fond to do so. I have spent my money with all the special papers and scrapbook materials I like in the market! I have piles of papers on my table and my husband thinks that I'm a wasteful human being.hehe but I never felt regret and I never thought that it was a waste coz I had fun and I enjoyed it so much. I also get some appreciation from him though, that I am creative in a way. And I really like it. I think digital scrapbooking is a lot more economical.hahah coz you just need the paper, ink and the program to create a wonderful page!the difference could be on the skill on using the computer program, it's quite difficult for oldies to use it.hahah I know how to edit photos and such in the computer but I still go for the undigital scrapbooking or whatever do you call it, coz I can explore my senses more.
