Is the Kia Sportage and the Hyundai Tucson the same?

Their design are so similar!
At first I thought I recognized the wrong car, and had the brand mixed up. That was until a chanced viewing on the road, where both cars pulled up side by side in front of me at the traffic light.
Makes you wonder, if they are the same car factory slapping different logos and passing them off as two different cars!

They are extremely similar but you are pretty close to the truth about them coming from the same car factory. Kia and Hyundai are pretty much one and the same. The two vehicles you mentioned don't come from the same factory, to my knowledge, but both companies are owned by the same company.
In 1998, Hyundai bought Kia Motors. Both are South Korean companies.
I noticed that models from both companies had the exact same colors after I bought my Sportage. After that, I started looking a little closer at the two companies. That's how I know as much as I do, even though it's not much.
