Why does PayPal suffer so much hacking?

Has anyone else had the misfortune to have had their account hacked in the last couple of months? Mine was but I was lucky in the sense that PayPal caught on quickly and froze my account and reversed the payment. It was a large sum of money so till I have the need my PayPal shall remain closed. I am thinking of just closing my account down for good and finding some safer method to use such as Amazon pay etc. Anyone else sick and tired of the lax security it seems PayPal has as the hackers get in with ease. One good thing is they seem to freeze accounts real quick when they notice anything strange. Guess they need to learn that prevention is better than cure.

Your information makes me nervous. I have a small amount of money in paypal. Maybe I should transfer some of it to my bank account. I check my paypal account on a regular basis. One of my managers at work had someone buy products from all over the worlds using her paypal money. This happened a couple of years ago. She reported this and paypal refunded her the money. I did not realize that it was such a big problem for so many.

It is an issue people don't always know about but one thing is a positive is that they stopped the transfer so the money is still in my account just frozen till I call them.

How did you find out that your account got hacked? Did paypal send you an email? Do you just have to make a phone call to get your account unfrozen. I once has to call paypal about a matter and it was real easy to get through. I was impressed that they had such good customer service. And I am impressed that they are so vigilant about criminals stealing from paypal accounts.

I see you got hit also. Remember when that happened to mine? At least you got yours back right away. Mine was hacked into then I did not get the dispute settled for months as they said they were still "reviewing" it. Any way yeah for it to be such a huge payment processor you would think they could be a little more better at security. I hope it gets better in the future. I would like to go to something else but I have no idea what as most sites do use Pay Pal.

I would love to switch to a new payment processor like that, but like I said who accepts that as payment so far? From what I have seen not many people.

Paypal account is being hacked by hackers based on the fact that they feel they can break in and steal user money. Unfortunately, they have not been able to achieve their criminal acts. Paypal is improving every day on its survelance and security checks. As you know, paypal is the online equivalent of our traditional bank. Paypal help us to keep our online earnings just like the traditional bank and they charge a lesser fees for their services. Sites such as mylots pays its members through paypal and it will not be a happy news for me to see paypal being hacked. I just pray that this threat by hackers does not succeed on paypal. I will continue to pray for the managment of paypal to succeed in their determination to keep user account safer and secured.
