The Economy In the United States Is Getting Worse...so sad

The economy in the U.S. is getting worse instead of better. A 59 year old man recently robbed an RBS bank. He held up the teller with a note asking for a dollar, but he used a gun so she would know he was serious. She gave him a dollar then he went and sat on a bench and waited for the police to come. When questioned further, the man is not old enough for Medicare and does not qualify for Medicaid. He became unemployed and a recent visit to a free clinic showed a cancerous mass in his chest plus he was having problems with his back and feet. This poor man robbed a bank so he would be put in prison and be able to receive healthcare there. How sad is that when this is supposed to be the land of opportunity?

hi linda, i have read about it somewhere and it is a wake up call for the people in the government. it is a pity this man was in pain and nobody would help him. i dont think he is insane but it is his way to call on the people in authority for help when they dont help out when they are called for. how many old people do you think would do another kind of robbery if given a chance? ann

This is a very sad and pitiable state.I suppose it is the sign of the terrible economy we are all in.Many are jobless and deprived of food, shelter and health care.I wish the economy would improve in leaps and bounds and take care of the needy.
