I am thinking of buying a new cell phone. Unfortunately I've been left a bit behind on the topic.. the last time I bought a cell phone was more than 3 years ago. Now I am thinking of buying an android based phone, as many people recommended me. However, I am not sure it's the best choice. What do you think? If any of you have android phones can you let me know of any pros and cons? And another question I have about android is, will I be able to access my non-gmail email account from it? Since android is from google, if I am not wrong, so they are promoting gmail as well and I thought that maybe the android's e-mail app might only work with gmail.

My cellphone's operating system is WM6.5 and although I don't have an Android cellphone now, but I can see that it is a very potential operating system for the cellphones. If i will buy a cellphone again, I will choose Android cellphone. As it has many software and games for this operating system. Wheras Windows Mobile seems to be short in new software and games suddenly. I think in the future there will be a heat competition between Apple and Android cellphones. So if you don't choose Apple cellphone, you really should consider Android cellphone. I love China

the beauty of Android vs Apple is that lots of application are available for download for FREE!! unlike Apple apps which most cost you money.

Thanks for the information both of you. It's nice to know that android is an evergrowing os, with a lot of games and apps. It's an important thing that matters to me a lot. And I think I will be avoiding apple, because I really don't like their prices and their designs. in addition, free apps is a huge plus for any cell phone, in my opinion.

For phones I always love Samsung as well HTC but by this end of month this coming 30 I will buy Iphone 4 and I'm so excited! What type of phone do you like anyway? I mean do you still like with just touch screen and no keypads anymore or your more concern with the music or camera? well I find samsung great in camera, sony ericson is awesome in music!I don't like Nokia so I will not recommend it however if you have great budget then if you like game apps and sort of things then I recommend Iphone!

Interesting information. Actually to tell you the truth I am mostly concerned about music, so it's nice to hear that sony ericsson has a nice tradition in the field. The phone I have at the moment is an old sony ericcson walkman model and it has a sweet sound, it's true. Only thing that i don't like about it is that it doesn't have a mini-jack in-put, but from what i've read, the new sony ericson has one.. so that leaves no drawbacks. :)

I have HTC android phone and another one is coming from Samsung. I have a hotmail account and not gmail and there's no problem with that. Android market is where you go for the applications and you can get access from it even if you don't have a gmail account. I can't see any cons in using an android, well, unless you get addicted to it and won't let go of it even during bed time. I was once like that with my blackberry but it never happened with my android. I also have an iphone4 which is for me is much better than android. Go ahead and get and android! YOu will only gain benefits from it especially if you are a busy person. Just make sure that you have an unlimited data plan so that your bill won't bubble up. If you're using prepaid they also have unlimited plan packages. Enjoy!
