I learned from my training today that It is better to know first aid and not need it than to need first aid and not know it.. :)

Hello maida, yes it is true. It also applies to the principle, "It's better to know something when not needed than not know something when needed". At first it was quite confusing for me to understand, but the more I read it, the more I start to understand what it really means. :)

Hiya maida, Much better to know First Aid yes but with time if you don´t use it you can tend to forget so I keep renewing my research a little bit as well. I hope I don´t get to need first aid but I still remember most of it anyway thank goodness. Also handy to have a very tiny first Aid kit in the House but with the Dates of when the product is likely to become useless as well so you can renew it if needs be. I had a great big kit at first and never needed it hardly now I have a very small one with up to date things in it works better for me like that.xxx

I completely agree. When I took infant/child CPR, I thought "I don't know if I could do this on a real baby or child!" When my own daughter stopped breathing, in my arms, at the age of four weeks, I found out in an instant that I COULD do it. I was never so glad that I had the knowledge I needed!!
