Conventional Doctors Against Alternative Medicine

Friends, I am overly disappointed with the doctor who handled my physical exam today. I told her that I had been non-compliant with the hormonal pills as treatment for my Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. We all know that the pills had been often linked with br*ast and ovarian cancer. I am just not sold out on these hormonal pills really and she laughed at my beliefs and said that i should take these medications regularly. Friends.. As much as possible i dont go for allopathic medicines though i do know that some of you still feel confident with conventional medicine. Conventional doctors would say that there is no scientific basis on how alternative medications work, hence it would be risky to take them. Doctors on alternative medicine would say that allopathic medications are so full of chemicals and it would be definitely a risk to take them. These two branches of medical technology are both working to put a solution to our illnesses. Why cant they work together? Why cant they support each other instead of being discriminative? They are being discriminative of the patients as well.

Grace beta May i know, why she prescribed these hormonal preparations, what investigations were made, hormonal imbalace may cause many syndromes, whether it is deficit or excess, one must take hormones and get regular investgations next stop taking them For many illness homoeopathic and herbal preparations work very well, but i have been told that your country does not have such clinics.. I absolutely agree. It would be so nice if they would work together. There may be no scientific base for some alternative medications, but most of them work, and what else can we ask of them? Many, if not all, conventional prescriptions have side effects that need to be carefully considered before we take them. Most doctors don't pay much attention to those side effects, though. Sometimes alternative medicine can't work fast enough in a serious situation and sometimes conventional medicine overdoes it. There is room for both, if they would only admit it.
