Corruption news reported on local newspaper

Although we live in a democratic country, a capitalism, and claimed to be the super - power, we seems to have enough corruption even in a small city. Local newspaper reports on Friday news, local policemen who work in the jail, help transport and deliver illegal substantial, like marijuana, and cocaine to inmates. Such discovery was a shocking to many residents. What else they will do in Jail among those inmates and the policemen who watch them. The FBI should do serious investigation on this matter. Also, the local county commissioner who take charge on county re - zoning also involved in bribery, and interruption of bidding of local county real estate properties. Such facts also stun us all. Because without a justice system, there is no fair business competition. I just wonder what kind of world we are living at now. At school, we were taught integrity, and the democratic system is the best for all human race. Such ugly facts turn us down on such belief.

It can definitely get ugly since in politics, corruption is always involved. When there's corruption, it will always turn ugly. Here in my country, it had always been ugly that people seem to start accepting it as a normal thing. Although there are others who find ways to diminish this dirty habit, if I may call it that.

"Although we live in a democratic country...." No, we don't, we live in a republic. But all that aside... "The FBI should do serious investigation on this matter." No, they shouldn't. This is not a matter for the federal government, it is a matter for your state law enforcement and state prison board. "...and the democratic system is the best for all human race" Democracy is horrible and oppressive, true democracy is as bad as any tyrannical dictator. All in all, it's a pretty crappy situation your town and county are stuck in. Sounds like it's time for some recall elections in your county and for people to start demanding the state investigate the prison situation. I wish you luck.
