Does the Power Balance Bracelet actually work?

United States

One of my childhood friends had a power balance bracelet on today. I asked him if it worked and he said "IT DID". I studied a little bit about that it had to do with some type of electric current in the body. I also learned that many important sport stars are wearing it because it does work! I am asking if you have tried it and if it works for you. I want to try it too, but I want a little more evidence! Thanks for any answers! :)

The premise behind this bracelet is a bunch of baloney. It's just another gimmick someone thought up to get your money. There are a lot of suckers out in this world. Don't be one of 'em.

:( I have tardative dyskinesia and a few more small things including autism. If the power balance worked, wouldn't it be worth it just to take a try?

Use your common sense. How can a cheap piece of manufactured goods, mass produced and claiming to help everyone, have any bearing on your physical and emotional well-being? It doesn't make sense.

I know it seems that way, but it's not that crappy after all, I have noticed a little better attention on balance, it may be psychie or something like that. It's not bad, but just a little bit of balance help

in the UK they're not allowed to sell them as having any kind of effect, as there is no reason for it to affect anything. I saw them on TV talking about it. it's a rubber bracelet with a hologram sticker. any effect can only be placebo, as plastic and a sticker don't affect your energy levels. still, if you're daft enough to pay for them....

It looks like a hologram sticker, but it has a little different than that. :( I think I'll try it just to see. I am just curious with a few problems.

No. These things are nothing but pure quackery and nonsensical pseudo-science. It does not, I repeat does not work. Watch the commercials closely next time. You know that "demonstration" they show? It's a total fake. The guy has a person stand there with out a bracelet on, he pulls on the person's arm and as he pulls, he steps back, pulling the person both down and back, pulling him off balance. Then he has them put on the bracelet and pulls again, but this time, instead of pulling both down and back, he only pulls down.Watch it closely next time it's on and you'll see what I mean. They use a lot of scientific sounding words and phrases, but they have no real meaning, they are nonsense. They say things like "it works with the frequencies your body naturally responds to". Well, "frequencies" of what? Frequencies aren't things, they are a unit of measurement that can apply to almost anything. There is no science whatsoever to support the claims the companies that make these various bracelets make. Save your money, these things are a total rip off. I have never tried the Power Balance Bracelet. I have to wonder whether the results one can obtain by wearing this type of thing are real or purely psychological. Even if the latter is true I guess it can do more good than harm so it may not be a bad thing to wear one. I’ve seen the copper and magnetic bracelets to fight against pain but I am not sure of results.

i do believe that copper and magnets really work, so I guess that might be an excuse to try it. I am not certain.

I've been hearing about this power balance bracelet but I haven't tried it yet. I like your question samafayla33 because it is really informative. I hope that one will be able to prove about the effectiveness of this power balance bracelet. By the way, when can it be bought?

The powerbalance website has many different pieces of jewelry on it, or you probably can find it on ebay too. http://www.powerbalance.com/ I think i will get one. I have several health issues, so I am hoping that like my friend it'll work for me.

The lucky rabbit's foot didn't do me any good but you know, copper and magnetic stuff works. It's not mind over matter there. I have tried copper bracelets in the past, and they do help over creams that blister your skin. :) I hope it works.
