How to learn English

I think it would better to start simply. In Youtube, for sure, you'll find simple materials made for children, start with them. And I really advise to read much. Select short stories and spend your time reading them several times.

I recommend you to visit in your city a good bookstore specialized in languages, where you can find books appropriate to your level of knowledge. Look for a book that teach you the pronuntiation and another to learn grammar. Also little novels or short stories will you help. Good luck!

I am from India and here each state has its own regional language,plus our national language Hindi.We use English for official purposes and rarely speak English.So i want to improve my English.More we use the language,more we can gain.I think mylot is a nice place to improve our english and communication skill.Here we can discuss all matters with out any hesitation.After joining this site,i improved my English a lot

hi IcedRock! there's a lot of language learning sites that are interactive, more of like the social networks you have around where members can rate and correct your grammar and help you progress through your learning the language. ive initially signed up for these sites to learn the basics of french and italian languages. then you can immerse yourself more by reading bilingual books so u can better understand the words. part of the advanced level would be to watch english movies more so you would be able to practice proper accent and pronunciation of words. you can have a language partner to help you practice it more.

hi icedrock, welcome to mylot :) The easiest way to learn English is join to English Club or English Training Center in your local city.In training center, you will get lesson to improve your English ( writing, speaking and listening ).In other way, you should have high motivation in learning English.That's what I do.I just learn English from my vocational school & my listening is not good, but I have big motivation and willing to learn English more and more.So here I am, learn writing more and more in mylot and Triond ( the beginner ), learn to listening by listen English music and film, notice what they speak about and if needed, buying English book that containing tutorial of right sentences, speaking, phrase, grammar and others.In learning languange, willing and practice is very important.That's what you should do now.

Icedrock, maybe it is an idea to do some surfing, there must be plenty of free english courses. There are audiocourses to be found online. Just use your search engine and I am sure you will find some that you like. Maybe you should checkt these ones out: www.china232.com, they have free Ipod audio lesseons english www.english-test.net/esl/lessons-plan/china-inc-2.html they offer a free email course as far as I can see. There must be more to found. Better use chinese while searching. Well I can not speak or write chinese so use your skills and look for some free audiocourses on the net. Good luck.
