What Really Causes Clutter

Clutter is something that I am personally dealing with in a serious manner because it definitely affects me very badly. It something that really creates disturbance not only to my eyes but to my mind, too. I do not know if this also happens to you but to me it does. I always organize things around me before I can comfortably sit down and go online. I surely cannot focus to my work when things cluttered around. Clutter is definitely a serious factor to be considered when I do perform my duties in the house and even so when I was in the office. Clutter is really like a cobweb in my mind. Thus, I do not have peace of mind when I do not put things around into order. The problem is when you have somebody in the house who is not really organized. I really cannot figure out what makes a person so comfortable in a place where things clutter around. Better yet, I further questioned what really causes the clutter. I know a lot of people who are really very organized with things but too few who are not.

I can't stand clutter. If my desk is cluttered I just HAVE to clear it and make sure it is tidy. I guess it has to do with my upbringing. My parents always made sure that I cleaned up my room since I was a little kid. The lego, whatever it was, always put it back piece by piece and stored it away. I think it's a good thing that I clear it up though.

Upbringing is really one major factor about this clutter issue. Parents really should have train children to be organized so that when they grow up they will be orderly and organized people. In effect when they get married, their respective partners will not be dealing so hard with them but be blessed, instead. So, I am also very thankful of my parents who really had trained me up to hate clutter.

Clutter is always a problem to people who are habitually organized and it is more a problem when the clutter is done by someone else. I think the only cause is when you are too busy and you dilly-dally as to put things back in place that you have just used. If you don't like clutter make sure that no matter how busy you are always try to put things back in place where they should be before the clutter accumulates and it becomes annoying to organize them again knowing that you are busy. I also am not comfortable with clutter. Before I go out I always make sure that the house is clutter free so my mind is at ease and relaxed even when I come home tired. There are people who are not bothered about clutter just as there are people who are organized. And it becomes a problem for people who doesn't like clutter. Just try talking to the person nicely how good it would be if your whole abode is clutter free.

Thanks for the idea. You are perfectly right. For now I am trying to make some plans on how to talk to the person about this problem. I had once tried confronting the person but the answer had just made me accepted of the clutter when I can no longer organize them. It always has to be my problem because it is up to me whether to organize them or make myself be used to it. The person could hardly be organized. And if I cannot be comfortable to that way, I will always get tired of arranging things and as you said, putting things back to their original places.

know what you mean about not being able to concentrate on things in a clutered house before coming on my lot or other moneymaking websites i usually have a quick tidy up so i am less distracted by the mess. However i still have a big problem with clutter probably due to having too much stuff as i am a bit of a hoarder and hate throwing things away, because of that i have got cupboards full of things i will probably never use andshould really be sorted out but as the saying goes out of sight out of mind if i cant see the mess i can relax and focus on my posting on mylot .

Hi anklemash. Thanks for joining me in this discussion. Well, maybe hoarding is a problem related to my problem of clutter. Sometimes, I want to dispose some of the stuffs but I am also thinking that I might be needing them in the future. You are right, I can relax when I do not see the mess.

I always feel putting things in the right place is a tiring process and also if I am in a hurry I will not put it back where it belongs. If I will remove a thing which is placed right above I will put it back somewhere convenient! I have a cupboard with spaces for different items but I will dump the stuff here, there and everywhere. And then allot some time to put things straight. And there is yet another important factor deciding what is required and what is not specially the paper clutter. Have you also forgotten the sentimental value we have for things?

Who is our first enemy? answer is our own angry. yes, it is the most powerful destroyer of our patience. We have a great thinking power, but our sadness, angry are killing that. we have re built that constructional thinking and do the things is successful way step by step.

hi keshlois for me its a safety thing as an elderly woman when she falls over crap left on the floor can easily break a hip. Since I am 84 and have a sense of balance problem I see that the walk way in our room does not have dis carded clothes or solid objects that are small and could trip up anyone. Clutter needs to be picked up and everything put in its ' own place. Also where I am staying the fire dept. demands the floors should not have objects just sitting in all the walk ways. just think if a fire broke out and elderly people would stumble over possessions left on the walk ways in the rooms and break their hips or legs or knees while the place is on fire. they could burn to deatgh.
