I had to take some medication for a few years and now I have found myself with thinner hair. I didn't realize it until I started to look at old pictures and saw how much fuller my hair was a few years ago. It's really upsetting becasue people used to be jealous of all the hair I had and how shinny and beautiful it was. I'm only 25 and should still have that beautiful hair, plus I'm getting married in about a year and a half and of couse I want that beautiful updo! Anyone have any tricks or tips on helping to make your hair thicker ??

You can pay more attention on the food you eat everyday. For example, food with high protein is good for the health of your hair, making it stronger than before, so you should eat more egg everyday. Also, I have heard from somebody that sesame is also good for your hair because it can bring your hair with healthier color. I don't know whether it is true, but I think it is worthy for you to try.

Yes over use of medication is harmful for the body and it is also harmful for the hair.I think it is difficult to get back the thickness of the hair but i think regularly using oil on the head will be useful and also increase the intake of vitamin c,calcium and protein.

During my childhood days my mom used aloe vera on my scalp to help thicken my hair.Until now my hair is thick.I heard a lot of products that thickens the hair but Aloe vera is more effective and available any where it was also used as a juice drink.Maybe it would be effective for you too.Just try it and see the result for yourself and maybe it works for you.Hope aloe vera answers your problem:)

You hair loss could either be hereditary or hormonal of maybe lack of sufficient nutrients to keep your hair and scalp healthy. Even stress can lead to hair loss. The most important nutrients for hair loss are protein, calcium, iron, vitamins and other minerals. Also consider if the hair loss is due the treatments you do to your hair (if you are treating them with chemical-laden products). Try massaging the scalp with warm olive oil to stimulate new hair growth. And check on the shampoos that you use. If you are using conditioner regularly, just focus on the roots. Don't put too much near the scalp. I notice that when I use conditioner hair tends to fall more. No wonder why instructions tells us to use more on the tips and less on the roof. Go healthy. Exercise, eat and rest well and avoid stress as much as you can.

often when hair is affected by medication like that, the reason is usually that the medication constricts the blood flow in smaller blood vessels, like those in the scalp. stress can also have this effect. try massaging your scalp regularly to boost the blood flow, and using hair masks with ingredients that stimulate the scalp, like peppermint or cinnamon. if you can boost the circulation, it can help this problem.
