i would appreciate any answers on how to earn more/faster here in mylot. i also signed up with other social networking sites but they have a clear list of how much i will earn on every post/blog, pictures or comments but i cant seem to find that information here in mylot... but surely, this is the best site i ever had... i just signed up yesterday and started posting today and i already received meaningful responses to my inquiries... other sites are only concern on what you post, no matter if they are relevant or not... so im really enjoying it here :) also i read somewhere that here in mylot the earnings are not credited on a real time basis... anyone who could answer why? i would definitely love any tips or suggestions from you, guys. you are the pioneers here, i have so much trust and respect on your responses. thanks for your help :)

MyLot have an answer to the question "How do I calculate my earnings?" here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#15 We are not allowed to publicly discuss or speculate on the nature of the "proprietary model" (the 'earnings algorithm') but we are told that it is based on the quality of our participation. In fact, if you visit that link and then scroll up, the question before it explains what we need to do to increase our earnings here. Earnings are not calculated in 'real time' because the algorithm is sufficiently complicated that it does not simply take into account individual posts which we make but also requires time to record how others rate our posts via the Discussion Rating System (which you can read about in another part of the FAQs here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx ). In fact, you will find that, although an amount for a day's participation appears 24 hours later, that figure is still notional until the end of the month and our earnings may be recalculated and adjusted on a daily basis. That is why you will sometimes see that your earnings for some days are less or more by a few cents than they were the day before. If, as many people do at first, you think only of how much you earn for each post, you are likely to be disappointed. Of course, the earnings ARE the reason that many - even most - people are here but those who have been here longest regard them as an incentive to DISCUSS rather than as an incentive merely to POST. So what is the big difference between discussion and just 'posting'? I'm going to leave that question open for the moment in case you (or anyone else) wants to answer it!

thanks owlwings :) im guilty because i did not read the FAQs too much, i jumped right away to posting blogs and commenting on other member's posts. i'll definitely find time to read the FAQs for additional information, i appreciate your time in answering, i guess i can answer the difference between discussion and posting... its on the level of communicating with other members.. i realized that when i logged in the first time my only priority is to POST so that i can earn, and as i keep on posting and i get feedbacks from you guys im actually turning the post in a discussion... we communicate in a level that earning is of lesser importance..

There is no need to feel guilty! I wouldn't expect anyone to read right through the FAQs in one sitting (though they do make fascinating reading!). I WOULD expect everyone to have read the Guidelines more than once, especially those who join up simply in order to spam (which I think is not you!) Yes, basically, 'discussion' is as simple as a conversation! If someone walks into a room and says something to which other people respond, we surely expect him to have something interesting to say in reply, or why did he say anything in the first place? People who start so-called 'discussions' and then never come back to comment on what people have said are just like the person I describe. They get very little, if anything, for what they do, just as the person in real life will not gain friends or get kudos as a 'conversationalist'!

Owlwings is correct Katz, reading the FAQ is very important so you can stay without their guidelines that areenforced..As for the best way to earn here, I remember only three things, 1. start a post with a topic I think some will be interested in discussing. 2. Remember, what I type, I earn, what you type, you earn..In other words, I can start a discussion, have 10 plus pages of replies, but unless I continue in this discussion, I'll earn nothing more than when I started the post. This also includes any activity in other mylotters discussions, so I not only am active in my own post, but in others as well. 3. Uploading pictures in discussions is another way to earn. This is good for me as a dog owner who loves to show off her dogs and as a student, who takes screenshots of my math work so I can get help.. Keeping in mind the rules here, these three are what I keep in mind when I am active... Also, don't get discouraged when it looks like your earnings are going nowhere. If you continue to be active here using any combination of the three steps I shared, soon you will begin to see the financial benefits of this site.. I hope that helped...

No one really knows how our posts are being calculated here in mylot.Being active and posting quality comments/responses to a discussion will increase your earnings.Doing tasks offered by other members helps too.Using mylot search engine just like any other web browser gives you rewards as well. You should also read the FAQ if you are still in doubt.

Honestly I don't myself on how they give points on posting a comment or hosting a new discussion and uploading a picture. But I have been and I can I am satisfied with how I am getting points. It is more activity, more points. More quality in writing, more points.I read somewhere here that they even pay $.75 for every article. But of course it's got to be one good very relavant and interesting article. Is is important that we interact with the topic at hand and not just type anything here.It is sometimes annoying when responses are totally not in relevance with the topic. And lastly ,our posts should at least consists of 5o words. (^_^)

No one knows how you earn for your each post but it is sure that if you post good stuff then people love you for it and they will give you good reputation. Once you start discussion topics here you will enjoy it more and more. You will forget about earnings. If you want to earn then try to participate in number of discussions. try to make good friends here so that you enjoy to discuss the things here. Also try to make others join this site and they will earn 25% of their earning for you.

thanks sanjay, im enjoying my first day here... :) also what i noticed that there is a number after our names... what does that mean or indicate? is that the "good reputation" points that you are talking about? and how do i give that to others? thanks :)

Yes the star represents you reputation here. I think your reputation is decided by other people who rate you + or - whatever they like, according to your response or comments. Try to make it a hobby to engage yourself here in many discussions and you will learn a lot of things. I assume that you are a learner here, so don't mind if you are a pro of the online earning.

Hi katzar,First of all , you will get all the information from the FAQs.Once you know the rules and regulations and also the working procedure of this site it becomes easier to earn here. From my own experience I would say that there is no other site on the web as good and fair as mylot. It will earn you more if You post regularly and also put in as much information as possible instead of posting for the sake of posting. Starting discussions and adding comments to all he responses you receive is a quick way of posting more instead of spending time browsing for discussions that is of interest to you. Using the mylot search engine might win you some bonus .I have been regularly earning through this. You can also take part in tasks some of which are really good. All the best and happy mylotting

thanks kiran. and you are right there. im engaged with other social networking sites (both paying and non-paying) and it is only here that i get "relevant" responses. at the start of the day my priority is to earn as much as i can (thats the reason why i joined in the first place) but later on i find it happier to really relate or connect to other people.. im enjoying it here, tremendously :)

I think the best way to be happy with your earnings is to use this site just for fun. If you only use this site when you will have fun doing so, and just respond to topics you are interested in, the money will seem more like a bonus and less like a job. Of course, the more you post the more you earn, but unless you are having fun it will just be tedious.

hello there trose. how are you? im enjoying my stay here, its my first day and honestly i did not expect people to comment on my post (because that's the truth in other networking sites, you just register and log in for the sake of it, there's really no connection at all within members).. seeing responses from you guys gives me high hopes that even newbies here have fair chances to earn and have fun... :)

Humm well i cannot give you perfect tips on increasing Mylot earnings but indeed i think you will find this one better, what you can do to increase my earnings is firstly when the day starts in a hour you make yourself to at least to three responses till after doing that in afternoon do search activity make innovative searches which will give you high rewards, and make this thing till afternoon and in evening again do the response activity you will at least earn about 50 cents at maximum if you do this, This will probably increase your Mylot earnings a lot. Hope this helps you. Good luck
