I want to thank a debating partner here for the idea of this post. What do you think about religious based dating services like Christian Mingle or JDate? Me, I think it is great. It Should help weed out the person who could Never fit because of religion. But then I thought, why is this needed. I'm old enough to hear about the best way to meet your mate if you are religious And Christian was to go to church! That's when I thought it was sad that these days a service is needed. So what do you think?

I think its a wonderful idea for those who want to use it...but I bet there are still creeps that sneak into the site especially those who prey on other people..they would really get people to trust them if they signed up for a site like this..but I am leary of any dating site!

I hope that it helps religious people to find like minded people.

They are dating services where you have to be of a certain religion to join. One is called Christian mingle. Another is for Jews called JDate.

I think it is ok for the people that are not willing or feel they can not date outside their religion. Maybe it opens up doors to people that are in the same denominations but do not attend the same churches. My b/f does not have the same beliefs as I do. I wasn't sure if we would be ok or not but we just respect each other's beliefs and don't get into any debates about them..lol. That might be a very bad thing...we are both very passionate people.

I never thought that I would find a guy of my religion so I didn't even try. My guy has a different religion and it is fine. I get to learn his holidays and I have taught him mine. We were friends first so we just talk things out. We never debate , Just talk.I never thought about two people of faith but going to different churches! I sure hope there services work.

That is fine for some people looking for love. It would not be for me! I have had enough religion to last me a life time! I am sure there are people who join those sites really are looking for someone who is religious and have the same point of views on everything! It can be a good thing but the way I am I see it as a bad thing, too. There are to many opinionated religious people in this world! We have to many allready!

I can't stand those commercials and those religious dating sites. It's stupid. Lets face it, religion is dangerous. It causes wars and creates murder. Anything organized like religion, the mafia, etc... are all corrupt and dangerous. If a person wants to believe in religion, thats their right to do so, we do not need commercials for religious dating sites. Whats next, "come to Lucifers, the dating's hot?" Come on. Come to think about it, all those dating sites are worthless. The best way is to meet someone is to go out and socialize.

I strongly disagree. For many they Are out there socializing and finding No true match. I believe if religion is that important then a service like this could help weed out the Definitely nots and leave the maybes. As for religion being the root of all evil I don;t believe it. It is people who use religion wrongly who are the root of all evil. All religions speak of peace but evil people twist the message.
