Ive just finished cleaning my home..and a pretty random thought popped into my head- do people prefer to SWEEP their homes with the traditional BROOM or do people prefer to use the modern day HOOVER/VACUUM? Personally..I sweep.. hoover once a week.. LoL

In india i think most householders use the natural one still , now days it cost nearly 50 rupees each , still they do not want a plastic one.Vacuum cleaners are not that much used as seeing the cost and electricity bills.I think the natural ones are more good.Daily twice sweeping or whenever there is dust felt should clean up.

Thats actually quite an interesting fact, geographical location has an affect on the use of a hoover/vacuum..

hi vivamir we dont have carpet on the floor except a small patch in the computer room where I sit now and type but we have laminate in the hallway and living room, tiles in the bathroom and PVC in the remaining rooms. So we get through the apartment with these wonderful dust magnet towels and wash the floors when they need a bit of cloth and water. Thats not necessary too often as we have the shoes off rule in here so a little dust gathers only and there is no real dirt in here.

I have a dog that sheds quite a bit. The broom does not work very well at getting all of the dog hair up. So, I prefer to vacuum the house. All of the floors in my house are hardwood or tile. There is no carpet anywhere. But, the house that I moved from was all carpet, so I have the vacuum. It seems to work a lot better at getting rid of all of the hair and dirt off the floors. I do sweep occasionally, but oftentimes when I do, I end up having to vacuum after I am done sweeping anyway.

My Mum used to be driven crazy by our dog..she was white and fluffy!! and the hairs...OH MY..our dark blue carpet..turned to a blurry snow covered looking living room! LoL She used to quickly sweep, vacuum, then sweep again-that was in the morning.. LoL (",)
