i love poetry

I love poetry too. I write poems when I'm bored. I used to write a lot of poems when I was in junior high but have stopped since and it's been long since I wrote one. I don't know if I'm as good as i used to be!

hi azharhyd I also love writing poetry as I get these imnages and then start thinking about the tree trunk on a huge,gnarled old gray barked tree that reminded me of an Elephant., From that I went on to write a poem using those images I had seen in my mind. Another one was this girl I had seen sitting in the aisle in the library, her long hair mostly obscuring her face, b ut I could see her mouth and she was laughing to herself as she read the book in her hands.She was maybe eighteen or even sixteen. but the image curtain of blonde hair struck a chord with me. I sat down at a library table and soon had a poem about the girl with the curtain of hair. I am also very good in writing poetry but have neglected my interest for a few months. I like the idea you can write poetry anyplace if you can just get some great images in your mind to start with. Perhaps I can take a few hours off mylot occasionally to'do some writing of poetry.

I too like poetry! I think it is a good way for me to express feelings and emotions that I really couldn't tell other people. Poetry can be so relieving and it doesn't even need to have any rules you can just write what you feel!
