Boy or Girl?

Granddaughter - This is my youngest granddaughter. At least she is until December or January when my daughter and son in law have their baby.

So, as I said in a previous post, my daughter Kristen had her first ultra sound on Wednesday of this week. We couldn't tell if the baby is a girl or a boy from the test. We were a little disappointed to say the least! But many have speculated that it is a girl, based on some kind of crazy things. Tonight, as I was doing some cruising on the internet, I came across something that is almost silly. According to the old wives tale, you conduct this test by placing the mother's wedding ring on a piece of thread that is 12 inches long. The mother sits in a chair or lies down and someone holds the thread with the ring dangling from it over the mother's pregnant belly. You hold the ring until it is completely still but then it will start to move on it's own. If it moves from side to side, the baby is a girl. If the ring begins to move in circles, the mother is carrying an infant son. It seems like just an old wives tale without much merit, but I wondered if anyone had ever done the test, and if it came true after you delivered?

yes, i remember the old folks talking that when i was little, but cant remember if it ever came true. i do know that people used to say when i was pregnant, you are caring the baby high up so it will be a boy and it was, then with my second a daughter they said the baby is low, it will be a girl. dont know if they was just lucky or what

Me either! Of course after the last ultra sound that we had two weeks ago....it is very obvious that we are having a boy! He was NOT shy this time! LOL Sunday at church it was funny. He kept sticking his butt in the air and you could see the outline of his little cheeks through the fabric in her dress while she was sitting down!
