I think it is just a tough job for being a political leader because you can never satisfy all the needs of different kinds of people. There will always be opposition leader seeking your mistakes and want to attack your political position. You can hardly hear any praise to you except complaint and negative comment all the times. There seems no privacy for a political leader as well since there will always be some spy from the mass media who would spends all their times to watch every move you act and make news out if it.That's my opinion and what about yours?

Political leaders should have a strong personality and heart. You can't please everyone. Though, you have tried hard for a better country but still people will criticize you. haha. It is indeed hard to be in that position where your safety is at risks. Your privacy and personal life are at stake. You are put to blame for everything. Time is too fast. You hardly even do your hobbies. Hectic schedule arises. What a life!! But to do public service is greatly appreciated.

Hi,George! - George Washington is a great leader in his own times and in the history of USA.
Yes, it is just hard to be a good political leader and there is just not easy to have privacy at all. Looks like either the mass media guys and the spy will always keep at eyes on the politicians.I would never want to be a politician and by looking at those popular guys, I prefer to live a life with low profile all the times. There are just so many gossips going on in the political area and it is also hard to trust anybody within the political realm. people can be your friends in a minute and become your enemy who really wants to knock you down in another second. You just can't trust anyone. At the same time, life can always be at risk if your influence is significance . Look at all the past leaders who have been killed by the secret attack , then you will never want to step on the political stage. However, there are still some people who were born as a politician that he or she is juts so fit with this career.I hope that there are always some good leader to step out in this world and always build up some kinds of long lasting and constructive ideas for the people in this world.Who will be the best? Only God knows and I think God is always in control of everything.Happy mylot.

Yes it is tough being a politic leader! President obama has his hands full and he is trying to do his best! Of course he has to fight congress and the senante, the republicans and the democrates from time to time! He is trying and he has done some of his promises. When Obama became president he got stuck with some of President Bush problems! Like the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and a lousey economy. So far Obama is an ok president. At least he is not corrupt like some countries leaders in other parts of the world are! In my city I live in we have a mayor and in the two years in office he has been nothing but a pain! The guy is an alcholic and has been caught on tape drinking! Voters knew he was a drinker but didn't want the last myor to stay in office so last election they voted the drunk into office! Now people want to impeach him! The mayor says he will fight his drinking problem and get over it! If he does or not we could be stuck with this loser for 2 more years when the next election rolls around!

Yes i think it is very hard to be a political leader with all that responsibility an people watching you're every move just waiting for you to mess up.But then again no one forces someone to become a political leader they should know how it's gonna be before they go for the job.

Of course it is not always easy to hold those sensitive positions. There are always oppositions to attack not only your administrator but also your personality. Your life is even an open book to the public. Everything they see in you is publicized and talk about.

That depends . First,it depends on in which countr you are a political leader . To my mind ,in some European countries ,where corruption is terribly hated by its people ,a political leader may be not easy to be .But in other countries ,where people are very tolerant of unfairness,it is definitely an enjoyment to be a political leader . Unfortunately, my motherland ,China ,belongs to the latter . You must have heard about the rail way accident happened in WenZhou . All the officers did is lying to the public and cheating the media .Frankly ,i am totally disappointed at them .Maybe it is time to change thoroughly.

I think its hard, people expect too much from them like once they enter at their office they need to make everything better and some people can't accept the fact that before some change or some improvement will happen it needs hard work and time just to accomplish one or solve one problem. sometimes it's unfair to them also all the criticism.

Yeah, I have no doubt it's a tough job. They're a public face, so any mistakes they make get plastered all over the news. And if they really screw up then their careers are over. Even if they try their hardest, they're still going to wind up upsetting and alienating people. We humans are so hard to please. It's not a job that I would want, and I won't say that I respect everyone in politics, but it is a position I think is very tough to do.

Being a politician takes a lot of work that's why the people required to sit on these positions are diligent and intelligent at the same time. They are acting like semi-leaders of the country or something. The country is their main responsibility and, as far as I know, the country has a lot of problems.

Hi wildlittlefan, Now a days no good and sincier person can handle politics. If the person have to handle he will be forcefully have to do something that what higher command says or he has to loose his sincierity for handling his opposition leaders. I say this because " If both the parties are sincier the debate between them will give the best one, but if either one of them takes bad paths to win, the person following bad path will only win." Now a days politicians are wanting media spying on them for their popularity. Even if they want to scold the opposite leader they are using media, I don't understand why media is covering such non-sense news? why do people need to watch the scolding war between parties instead of doing welfare of people. Anyway I don't have good opinion on most of the politicians.

I think so.. even though majority of people likes you..still you cannot please everybody there will always be someone who will keep digging in your life and when they find something fishy they will actually make it worst.. just to convince people they are right.. you know how gossip can affect our world..hhmmm

Yes, true. It is not an easy job to be a political leader. Its hard to control, look after and satisfy everyone. I am really sure that every good leader would want to give the best they could but the service given varies in everyone perception. One may like or dislike it. The good leader always find it is hard to maintain a good reputation of his country while the bad never think about it except his own reputation and wealth.(^^)

I agree with you. Politicians are usually very popular at the beginning but become less popular as time goes. They will be challenge more by the public as their expectation is usually very high at the beginning and they will become disappointed and start questioning themselves if they have chosen a wrong leader. I guess this happens in almost every country whose resisdents have the right to vote. The more freedom the people have, the more they critisise on the government. However, I think freedom and right are very important to people as they allow people to express themselves and help the government to develop better policy for the society.

I agree with you. It is impossible to satisfy everyone in his country. So, I think if over 80 per cent of people feel satisfied with him, he is a good leader.

I really do think it must be very hard to be a political leader. The truth is that with all that power and all that responsibility, there is huge pressure to make the right decisions and if you make any kind of mistake, there is hell to pay! We are all human and are all bound to make mistakes, but when you are in a position of power such as politicians are, it is very difficult to get away with any kind of mistakes. So I'm happy to live my boring, mundane life thank you very much!
