I agree with the last poster about Bill. There have been so many changes, but the first poster could be right maybe this is the last season. Its hard to keep shows that are costly on the air.

I've not seen the new series yet, being in the UK. but I am a big fan of the books and the programme. and yeah, things do get gradually more extreme.

programme wise, I've only seen as far as the end of series 3. I do like it. I never much liked Bill anyway. he's not got much warmth to him. Eric I didn't like until a particular incident in the books that brought out a less ruthless and more vulnerable side. and I've always liked my vamps a bit vulnerable. having read the books, I know about Sookie and Jasons heritage. and it makes sense with aspects of both of them. after all, in his own way, Jason has a bit of an ability to glamour people, even if he doesn't know. the books and the programmes are different enough that there is still plenty of suspense and surprise for me. I loved that they made Lafayette a proper character, rather than the first of many throwaway short order chefs at Merlottes. and Jessica is probably my favourite character of the lot of them, and she's not even in the books. so yes, this is probably my favourite current TV series. True Blood and Treme are some of the best things on TV in a long long time. so well done HBO. two great programmes. just a damn shame I don't have HBO, and have to wait for ages for True Blood. first on FX, and much later on channel 4. I doubt Treme will ever air on one of our channels. I think it's too much of a niche interest. which is a shame as I love it. but it's right up my street.

OMG I wanna See!! I sooo haven't seen any of the new season yet. But I've been hearing it maybe the last season of the series. So maybe that's why they changed everything around to give a better ending to the series. Anyways I totally can't wait to see this new season :)

Yeah I agree, I'm not sure I like all these changes, especially with Bill. But last season I thought it was really dumb that Sookie ended up being a fairy. This season has made me like Eric a lot more and he's made the episodes really funny. Don't get me wrong, this season is good and I like it but I wish they hadn't made some of the changes that they did.
