That's a very good news to hear , I've been frustrated to know that most of the Legal Holidays falls on my rest day (Saturday & Sunday) for the whole year. Thank God there are special non-working holiday cause we are still paid even if we don't tender on work. I hope that the weather will be fine, not too rainy and not too sunny, I would probably spent my time by watching tv, sleeping and playing games and with my dogs.

Hi laniekins! I do agree with you, I felt the same frustration when I checked in the calendar at the start of the year the schedule of our holidays. Spending time at home is kinda practical nowadays....

I guess next year will be kinda lucky though. Eidle Adha is not special holiday right? August 29-30 is a long way to go, I need a break from work aside from Saturday & Sundays.

Weeee! I'll definitely plan something then. Does Manila celebrate Ramadan too? I'm in Manila now, and I used to live in Zamboanga where we do celebrate Ramadan.

Hi Swirlz! Yes, the gov't announced the end of Ramadan to be a regular holiday, I can't just recall when it started, but it was observed every year... If you are working in Manila, then definitely you will feel this extended weekend!!

Weee! Exciting! I think it started yesterday. Some of my Muslim friends announced it on facebook. There were a lot of Muslim holidays back home, and I noticed the previous month that they weren't celebrated here when it was celebrated there. That's why it surprised me to know that we will observe the upcoming holiday.

yup, it was also announced in the news, I think it is the start of Ramadan. The holiday observed by the government celebrates the last day of Ramadan.

Hi katrinapaz! haha, I see money! That is quite wise, going out of town after the holidays, as we would assume more people will flock out of town to enjoy this long holidays, most of them would be with kids as students can't easily absent themselves from school and lose the education shared that day (or would it? wink!) And taking a vacation with less people around is very nice, no traffic, no queues! Not quite doable on my side though, no one in the office on those days!!!

My office mates and I are planning to have an out-of-town just to unwind. We're still not sure where to go but I sure wish for the weather to be great! :D

Hi keihimekawa! Going out of town with friends is quite exciting and very practical, as all of you would be sharing on the expenses! Do try to get a place as early as now, maybe a place where they offer spa massages as well (just in case it rains!!! lol). Also, a pack of cards!!! You can do a lot of things with it haha! Will be wishing/praying for a good weather that weekend!!
