It has been raining for weeks now. I used to not care at first because I am on the process of exfoliation and whitening so not seeing the sun is quite helpful for me. But as the days pass, the rain is starting to get into my nerves. I wear canvas shoes and they are starting to get smelly because it constantly get's wet. I am spending a lot of bucks paying for laundry shops because I can't dry my clothes without the sun. yeah, it's nice to sleep at night with this kind of weather but I keep on waking up on wee hours because of the lightning that reflects on my window. My boyfriend and I can't have a descent date outside because of the rains. We are also planning to go to Tagaytay but how can we with this kind of weather? How about you guys, what is your experience with the rains that our country has been experiencing this past few weeks? Are you loving it or starting to hate it?

Hi joie! I like the rain because it makes the weather cool and I don't have to turn on the electric fan at night so that saves us money from electricity. BUt i don't like the rain, too because I can't go out much! I don't like walking in wet roads, too! The water and mud get on my shoes and pants. So to avoid that, I wear skirts and slippers instead, and just change shoes when I arrive at the office. And even if I have an umbrella, I still get wet at times, since the rain does not pour in a perfect vertical way, and the splattering of it everywhere gets you wet, too. And another thing, just like you, my clothes do not dry properly because of the constant rains. Some of them smells bad and so I have to repeat washing it. I hope the storm goes away already!

What I hate the most about the rain besides the damages it leaves the country is the effect of it to our clothes. They are either smelly or permanently damaged because of molds. I hope mister sun will come out soon.

I do like rain, but I must say that I would not enjoy it if it rained for weeks on end without stopping. here in my country, it may rain for a day or two but never longer than that! And I am always happy to see the sun again. I hope for your sake that the rain stops soon so you can do all the things you were meaning to do!

The sun is coming out today so I immediately washed my shoe and had it sun dried. I hope the weather stays this sunny the whole day.

I guess there are advantages and disadvantages to everything. Though, I really prefer rain than sun, there are times when I just wish that it would be the middle of them both - the weather when it feels like it's about to rain but it doesn't - that's the 'perfect day' for me. These days it's really hot where I am. It seems that the sun is really angry at us and a lot have complained about the heat of the noon sun. It reaches above 30 degrees indoors, God knows how hot it is outside! Anyhow, I know how you feel about the rain and the smells it causes inside the house. guess you should need to blow dry those shoes or perhaps you should stop wearing them for now, else the bacteria (not only the smell) might cause some disadvantages soon. Further, drying is really a problem when it rains, it's good that I am fortunate enough to have a dryer and a covered laundry hanger, so the strong winds could help dry them up. But these days, as I have mentioned, is really hot and we're taking advantage of the clothes hanger direct to the sun (it could even dry clothes after 30mins or an hour of hanging them - that's how hot it is around here!) Anyway, traveling is indeed a problem too. But I hope that it couldn't destroy the mood. But I am afraid I couldn't give suggestions about that because the only one I know would be to rent a car - which I think would be expensive. Have a great MyLot experience today!

I like that type of weather, when it feels like it's about to rain but it's not. It feels cozy for me. A little wind will make the weather just perfect for me.

I have a love and hate relationship with rain. I don't like being wet because it restricts my activates and my opportunities. Especially when I'm outside, it always seems to be harder to do things and it is inconvenient to move around. However, I do love rain becuase it makes everything cool down. I'm a person partial to cold so I'm not complaining, unless it is freezing outside so bad that I want to hibernate. Sometimes, I just wish that the weather favors a little sunshine for my clothes. I have a month's worth of laundry for the whole household and I have to share a clothesline.

It's just okay for me. As long as there is no flood, I am totally fine with it. Actually it favors me because we are dress down here in our office, I just wear slippers, shorts and t-shirts. The management understand because the weather might turn bad and have floods so they allow us. So far, no flood yet. So I'm okay.

We are not allowed to dress down in our company because I am working in a construction firm. I need to wear safety shoes at all times. So I am left with no choice but bear my cold wet socks.

A little of too much in anything sometimes is not good just like the rain. I like rainy season sometimes. It is nice to feel sentimental and just curl in bed, relax and sleep. But I agree that it is raining here in our counrty for how many days now. But the farmers here in the province is happy with it because they wouldnt spend on diesel to water their farms.

Good to hear that the farmers around your place is making the most out of the rain. In some places, crops gets damage so farmers need to start all over again.

For people who are living in prone flooded areas, the answer would be an ANNOYING one, yes they hate it when it rains too much. Its okay if it rains for only minutes but continues rains and heavy downfall causes some areas flooded and people started to get sick also because of stagnant water and the danger of leptospirosis. What is good when raining is that the environment gets cooler, greener and I like to sleep at night when its cold. There is enough water supply and we cannot deny that plants and trees needs rain, although too much is not good. So my answer if I like rain, yes if it is just a normal and regular downpour but no if it is too much.

Too much of anything is really bad. Though the rain has many good effects to the environment such as cooling the Earth, it is quite noticeable that there is a drastic change in today's weather. When it rains, it really rains a lot, when it's sunny, it's scorching hot. I guess this is nature's way of telling us that we are abusing her.

In China, now the weather is very hot, very hot, and I especially hope that the next day to rain, wash away dust, lower temperatures, so I am very period of the arrival of rain. But I also encountered the same situation you are, by the spring when the days are always a series of heavy rain, there is not convenient to go out for anything extremely inconvenient, for example, want to go out walking, you must go out to buy food, dating friends at this time, I began to hate from the rain. But for now the high temperature period of China summer, I hope it rains everyday. Because it is too hot, the sun tan people look no spirit, tanned skin, dry mouth. Water can not quench their thirst.

It' either too hot or too rainy nowadays. I wish nature could go back to it's balance state.

ya i know it no longer comfortable having rain everyday. But in LUzon that is no ordinary rain but a typhoon. We here in Cebu last week experience a slight to heavy rain sometimes. But this week we are in a hot weather situation. Hope typhoon will soon leave the Philippine area or responsibility so people may no longer worry of floods and all. We have to pray together for the safe of every individual here in the Philippines.

It doesn't really bother me much. I love it when it rains and days are feeling gloomy with the grey skies and all. I'm currently staying indoors for almost twenty four-seven... I don't usually go out unless if I have to buy my lunch. Hopefully though to those who are bothered by the constant rain let's just wish that it won't be another typhoon coming along our way. Mild to moderate showers are fine but with the string of typhoons that the headed in the Philippines this July it's almost impossible that the rain won't be as brief as we hoped for.

Typhoons are constantly visiting our country this past few weeks and we can't do anything about it. Let us just hope that this chain of typhoons would come to a rest sooner because a lot of properties and lives are already lost since it started to rain heavily.
