Why do you think some people chose not to vote. If you are one of these people what are your reasons for not voting

I believe everyone wants to vote and be able to impact society. However, the fact that the vote of people often seem not to matter often turn some people away from participating in elections: There are countless instances when the declared people voting victory in issues are overridden, regardless: The majority of the US people did not want to be in Vietnam, but we were; The majority of the US people do not want government preying into their private business, but government through the Patriot Act II and MEHPA is; The people of Houston, Texas (though for unwise reason) do not want the red light camera, but it is imposed upon them; The majority of the US people do not want to be in Libya, but we are; etc.

I'm pretty sure it's apathy no matter how it's stated. If they say they're too busy, it just means they're too busy to care. If they say they don't believe their one vote will make a difference, it's still a form of apathy. There a several reasons TO vote, but not voting just comes down to that same simple point.

i vote in every election, but have spoken to a few people who don't vote because they feel that their vote won't make any difference; that both sides are the same and neither will make a difference.
