It is time for me to make my yearly care kit for those who live on the street. I will not give them money, but I do give them a lot of usefull things like; Sleeping bags, water cans and water, food, utencils I can spare or find for free on freecycle, pillows (trust me people really like this one a lot) animal stuff for those who have one. I am thinking of getting a pet van to go to them and give their animals free shots so they can still have their solice in their pets. I also like to give them information on how to get food stamps or help in any way including health care since a lot of them are mentally ill. It hurts me to see people suffer. And I can tell those who are and those who are not. There are so many things I can put in this pack I just want to make good ones this year and help as much as I can. Any ideas? Thanks and God Bless

Thank you. Even though I need to be on food stamps my self I can still get these things free or nealy free if I work hard enough to find them. I just don't want to be in their position and can only feel that they feel they are in a deep dark hole that they can not get out of. I want to at least give them a ray of hope. It is scary I am sure. Thanks and God Bless

wow! you are amazing doing these things for another~ a yearly care kit is a great idea ^_^ we do feeding programs in my place but only occasionally. But what I love most is giving out little handbooks or cards, or something like a bookmark or little key chains that contain words to live by; phrases or quotes that would help give hope, encouragement or even enlightenment. Sometimes, we give out those written in English to those who are at least elementary graduates, while we give out those written in our own dialect for those who doesn't know English. but, for those who aren't able to read we include them in teaching programs. Maybe you'd want to include some of these little cards included in your kit sometimes. Goodluck and God bless you on your mission Tc

Thank you that IS a good idea. I have playing around with that for a while and wondered how well it would be recieved. It is funny, these people ask for money and I won't give them any since I know most will use it for the wrong reason hence the reason I give them things they can use. I will include this in the kits thanks again!

Hello catof1. I've read some of your other discussions, so I know that you are not in great shape, so it is very commendable that inspite of your situation, you still manage to do this for other people. I hope that all the good things that you do for others, come back to you tenfolds!

Giving stuff that can be use or sell it nice but can't build their confidence to find real job. Give them small job like clean your garden or vehicle can be use to build their confidence to find real job instead begging.

Catof1 I'm beginning to realize that you have such a beautiful soul and you have inspired me with this post. I'm always want to do this, but my husband doesnt like doing good deeeds in the public, he prefers to do this privatly and my island is really small 110 000 people so every one knows everyone so i was always discouraged in the beginning, but I believe if i tell him to hell with peopl watching enough then he'll give in cause hes just so much of a giver. And gloves and hat for a cold night might be really appreciated.

You are truly remarkable! Thank you sooo much for making a difference. There are so many people out there without a food, water, bedding, without love and you are definetely giving that to them. The grace of God has used to to put His hand on people in need. One thing I though might be helpful in collecting supplies is taking the money you earn on here and putting that towards a donation. By responding to enough discussions and referring to a lot of people you could get a good 100 bucks a month. I hope I helped!
