Hope on cancer cure.

A team of Indian doctors claims that a single shot of progesterone hormone increases the chances of disease- free survival after surgery for breast cancer. A series of independent studies in the past have suggested that surgery to remove breast tumours itself appears to stimulate metastasis that is the spread of the cancer to distant sites in the body. The Indian researchers believe that progesterone interferes with this process; it puts the tumour to sleep and allows the surgeon to excise the cancerous growth without any apprehension. Although the study raises several questions which are yet to be answered by the researchers, it is no doubt a great achievement which will definitely open a new approach towards the management of breast tumours.

Hi DoctorDidi, Any news about a possible breakthrough in cancer research is always good news. I hope to learn more about this later. I think that more money should go into researching ways to prevent cancer in the first place. Blessings.
