ever driven in zamboanga? if you haven't, i'd advise you not to... especially if you've only started driving. it's an absolute mess! drivers here have no discipline and don't have any regard for others' safety. stoplights? they're only expensive road decorations here and whenever they flash, they're only regarded as suggestions. suggestion to stop or slow down. so how do you deal with bad drivers?

Well I think first, you should cool your head. Don't pick a fight or yell at them. Even if it's hard just be calm and concentrate on your own driver. Look at the plate number and you can actually report it. Here in Bohol bad drivers can be reported to the city hall so that during their renewal of license they will have trouble. By the way, where are the traffic officers? That's their job to control traffic.

Yes indeed. Davao is known nationwide due to it's very strict discipline to its residence. And also I heard it's very clean and crimes seldom happen there. You lucky you live there.

You should come to California, chipesterkhan. If you want to see really bad driving in action, my state has it covered! People are such bad drivers here that accidents happen here almost every hour. Some people learn from their mistakes and the mistakes of others, but some just never learn (my nieces are a prime example of never learning from their mistakes).

Stay away from them! Here in Iloilo i have labelled the Jaro CPU jeepney drivers and taxi drivers as the worst ones. I had a minor accident before because of a Jaro CPU jeepney and because i was a girl he tried to put the blame on me, but when i told him i was a law school student he apologized. It was obviously his fault!

Hi puddy cat It's the same here as well. He have hell drivers here as well as hell motorcyclists. They don't care about other drivers except that they want to get to their destination as soon as possible. And they are usually the ones who caused accidents to happen. How to deal with them? Just move aside and let them pass. What else can we do?

That is mostly the case in the other regions in the Philippines too. I experience bad drivers here in Cavite and also in Manila. They are really a headache! It seems like drivers really can't stay on their lane and always have the urge to compete and cut other vehicles. Motorcyclists are in my opinion the worst! They seem to not care to speed up in high ways and they feel like they can thread any traffic loops around. Also they are very deviant on road etiquette. That is why a lot of road accidents reported involves motorcyclists. Not to mention buses are a monster in the manila area especially in EDSA and Commonwealth. Well, you can't deal with them really as the bad driving is really the driver's issue and responsibility and the traffic enforcers and the police are the ones who should regulate them. Just don't lose your cool with them. Anyone who loses their head is always on the bad results. Always practice good, defensive driving and report bad driver's that can be deemed really dangerous. That's all I can think of for this dilemma.

hi chipesterkhan I dont drive but have ridden with others on the freeway here in Southern california.on the freeway you often meet idiots or gangsters in the making. I was with my friend when this car full of young women who appeared to be college studetns;the girl driving was an excellent driver so why these jerks in a convertible were pissed off at her I could see no reason.they honked then gave her the finger and like us we all took the same off ramp we and the college girls both ended up at the farmers market in 'tustin. but the idiots or morons in the convertible also followed the girls to the farmers market. the girls came in and the driver immediately 'asked to use a phone. she called the police and reported the jerks in the convertible as harassing them and stalking them. the police came immediately. seems that one of the two in the convertible had brandished a pistol at the girls on the off ramp. but the police were not impressed by the two wealthy morons in the convertible and both were arrested. we overheard the police tell the driver of the convertible that his car would be impounded too.All were really driving too fast too which did not help.

I couldn't drive in a situation like that. No discipline is right! And no regard for other's safety is something I cannot abide. Especially when I have my kids with me in the car. I don't care for bad drivers. Most have the mental attitude that they have to get there first. I let them think they are going to get ahead of me and then I speed up so that they can't.

I drive very carefully! I am very aware of what is going on when I drive! Were I live at times you see people runnung through stop lights and stop signs! There are people who cut in front of you without warning! People love to not use their signal lights! There are people who get drunk and drive! There are people who use their cell phones while driving! I think no matter where you live you have to watch out for the bad drivers! It is crazy!

The best what you can do is to pay much attention while driving in order to avoid an accident. You need to have a car's insurance to cover possible damages by driving. You can't do much more and wait that the authorities worry about this situation.

I haven't been there, but I also have a lot of encounters with bad drivers. They are everywhere so you don't even have to describe them. Those reckless and careless drivers who put not only their lives but others people's lives as well into danger. Too bad how they got their licenses.

I drive defensively, bad drivers are also rampant in our area. I live in Novaliches and the road is really narrow, there's a large number of busses and public utility jeepneys that race around to get passengers, they even block each other even in the middle of the road. If you don't keep your head cool and drive defensively among these brainless giants and runaway trolls, you'll just end up in an accident.

Bad drivers are everywhere, but it really is all a matter of perspective. Some people might be in a hurry, not from the area or the road could be really hard to navigate. It isn't easy to get around some areas. You should just take a second to make sure you are OK and then get back to driving. Its all you can do really.
