Unfortunately, Facebook takes up most of my time. XD

Facebook is the one site that takes up most of my time. Since a lot of sites that I visit are connected to Facebook, I just login on my account and see notifications from all over. I get so tempted not to do anything but sit all day and look at the posts of random people on Facebook. :| Even though I don't intend to, sometimes I wouldn't notice that I have been sitting for over 4 hours just spent on Facebook. It's becoming a bad habit, and because of it I tend to put my school work aside. :( Are you addicted to Facebook, too? What do you usually do there? Are you fond of commenting on posts / pictures or are you one that usually 'likes' them?

Facebook is one of the most visited an popular social networking site nowadays. No wonder most of us are hooked at it. It's like one of the basic necessities because we can't live without it. There were times when my days were spoiled because I failed to do other household chores. It's like a favorite meal that you can't skip, so tempting. There were times when I opened my account many times in a day then closed it if there's no new comments in my post and opened again thinking there were new updates there. I usually update my status and make comments. Before I played farmville all the time but then it consumed most of my time so that I stopped it. I often post pictures there too right away after having a vacation to share it to my friends and families. It it not a bad habit maybe we just have to manage our time well. Facebook is a nice venue to socialize and keep in touch with families and friends.

You're welcome! :) What you said about Facebook is very true. It's a convenient way to keep in touch with family and friends, but it needs time management. : Thanks for commenting! :D

I'm also thinking of opening an account in Twitter. Some of my friends told me that its not that user friendly as Facebook. What do you think..? You spend more time at Twitter itself.!? Can i ask what actually makes you spend more time at Twitter..? Is that just chatting and commenting like any other Social networking website..?

I use both Twitter and Facebook. :) Twitter is just like updating your Facebook status. However, you're limited to a few characters. You can also use it to chat and stuff. :

Wow, I could never spend over 4 hours on facebook. I don't really think there's that much to do on it. I log on to facebook everyday, but I don't stay on there for too long. I get bored after a while. I just look at what's new and that's pretty much it. I do use the chat often, though. I hardly ever post a status update, and I get annoyed by people who change their status all the time. Most of the time, I'm just like who cares? But I still read it, lol.

That was once, but it never happened again. 8D That was probably the longest time I spent on Facebook. I look at each and every post that I find on my News Feed and chat, maybe that's why I didn't notice 4 hours have passed already. It's a bad habit, I know. :(

I used to be addicted to FB. I used to play farmville and SL and then browse through my wall and see what my friends and families are up to. But I only got that bug for a months then I told myself that I have to stop it so now I only visit FB to check mails and notifications then log out. maybe if you try to limit your time you have to stay in FB then you'll be able to shake off your addictiveness on that site :)

I too am addicted to facebook. Most of young people nowdays have an account. But im trying to break the habit. It is not a very good addiction since everyone has about 300 friends there. But i only have about 6-7 good friends really. The rest of them are not exactly friends at all. Now I usually use facebook to organize events, get some friends to play basketball with me and to communicate a bit with the people I like. I love the new option (or is it just that I just have found it recently?) of selecting witch friends see me online and witch do not. Helps a lot...

Even I think I'm addicted to Facebook. Now from past 1 month its the same case happening with mylot too..! Nowadays if i think that I'll discuss in myLot after opening my facebook account, then probably I'm sure I'll not get time to come to mylot. now its the same thing happening in the other way too. If I come here to myLot then I'm not getting time to goto Facebook.. I spend my time at Facebook by chatting with my friends. Whenever i login One or the other friends will start chatting... And I'll have to log out only after 2 or 3 hrs.. !!

Yes it takes a lot of your time especially their games because most of their games need a lot of time like when you upgrading your farm it takes several hours/days to finish certain upgrades. Right now I don't use facebook apps anymore.

Hi, Facebook it is a really bad habit on everyone's life. We have to take care about our selves. Just because its kind of creepy that in the news one day I heard some people that used to private people from their liberty, used to get people from facebook. Because some of them don't lock the personal info, accept new friends that they don't even know and they see your pictures, your work site, where did you went to school, who are your friends, what places do u frequent, what are you doing every single time etc... The list could go on and on, but think about it. My purposes in Facebook steroids be in touch withy friends and I don't add more people unless I want or consider that person as my friend. I don tagged my self in a place, and if I do it, I post it when I am leaving. You know for safety precaution. Have fun and go to school.

I totally agree and believe that there should be some kind of help for addictees - LOL I am totally addicted and find that in the morning after I have got a coffee I switch on my laptop and head for Facebook and can spend 30 minutes week days or an hour easily at weekends before I get my shower, get dressed and head out somewhere. It is also easy to sit there for hours in the evening - because you think - just five minutes....

Yes, Facebook tends to take up alot of one's time, if we get too indulged with the activities in there. Because once you log in and you'll tend to look at your friends' comments, pics, etc and before you know it, those minute accumulate up to an hour or more. If you play games on Facebook, you could be addicted to it as well. I have a friend who can't stop playing Cafe World every day. It's like she's hooked onto it. Facebook has lots of apps and games in there as well.

Yes unfortunately or fortunately it is same for me. Facebook takes lots of my time. I chat with friends on facebook, read on others wall, check friends photos and also search some beautiful photos of girls. lol. It actually keeps us connected and it lets us to socialize but i think as you said it is a bad habit to spend lots of time. May be we should set some time limit ourselves.

I agree being addicted to facebook is not a good thing. It should be used in moderation, I don't stay at facebook that much. But there was a time I really got addicted too. I wake up in the morning to open it and don't realize I've been there for hours. But now I have mylot so I found a good way to take myself away from facebook. :D
