Do you believe in Dopplegangers?

I just heard of it just now. An officemate of mine told me the story about his wife. Yesterday his wife was absent from work,she is a teacher in a prestigious school here for pre-schoolers. She was absent because she was not feeling well. The thing is, someone called her from the school to confirm is she really is sick and not in school because two teachers and students saw her walking in the school!! Two of the teachers even talked to her asking how she is and how come she looks pale! She was surprised because she is just at home and was not in the school premises! but the teachers swore they even talked to her and even confirmed the students because they talked to her and said that she even told the students to go back to their sits!
I was having goosebumps when my officemate told me this just this morning. Do you believe in such? dopplegangers are said to be your alter egos walking..and that if you are good they are bad, if you are bad then your doppleganger is good and that if the two of you meet, you both will stop existing or will die.

hi jazel__juan that has to be just superstition really.I met a woman of 22 who looked like me. I was standing in the waiting room of the greyhound bus waiting for my bus when I was whirled around and heartily kissed by a young man in a uniform. He called me Ruthie then he saw I was not his Ruthie but he showed me her picture and oh my G she looked like a sister to me.well I did some
investigating found out Ruthie's last name was Clark as was mine, I found her and talked to her and her mom. I had to sit down when her mom said Ruthie was an illegitimate child and the father was a Doctor who now lived in Newel. oh my g she was talking about my dad, my own father. I never knew my dad had a woman on the side when he made my mom pregnant and i sure as hell never told my parents I had met Ruthie. Ruthie's mom hated my dad and wanted me not to mention her or her daughter not that I would have as it would have killed my mom.I then lost what little love I had had for the tyrant my dad was.so no I do not believe in doppelgangers at 
all.

oohh! That was not dopplegangers at all. that was way more serious stuff Hatley! Wow. You met a sister that you never really knew and much more she looks like you! Wow that is something.

this is very interesting. What a fascinating discussion. I will be interested in what other mylotters think of this. I have never had an experience of this although I have heard of the doppleganger, but I have experienced deja vu, when you go somewhere, you have never been there before but its familiar to you, and you know you have never been there ever in your life.

I heard of the concept of dopplegangers. But, from the little bit that I know, they are supposed to exist in parallel universes, not in the same reality as us. And they can only be "met" by going very deep inside the subconcious mind through meditation.
The idea is too much for my mind to accept.

I believe in Dopplegangers ever since I was a kid. Ever since I first heard it,
I believe in it immediately.
I am a person who easily believes in things if a lot of persons confirms it.
I've read and watched a lot of people already who have experienced that.
I think that's very interesting.

Well I have had people come up to me and swear I look just like somebody else that they knew. I never actually met the somebody else though.

i have experience that a lot.. all through out my life, i have even tried to meet him, well i do meet him everyday.. people always are amazed as to what they see.. they keep on saying, "i saw you somewhere else and how come you are here?"... there's even this famous script , " are you trying to follow me?".. geez!.. people keeps on asking me that and repeatedly... i get tired of telling them, "oh! no it wasn't me but my twin brother actually".. (^_^...

I have heard of doppelgängers before. I don't think I believe in them. I have had some experiences where people thought I was someone else. I have even found my Mylot twin! Lol!! I just find it hard to believe that once you meet your doppelgänger you cease to exist.

I do not believe in dopplegangers as I haven't had a first hand experience with those. But I have dreamt of such creatures. This story is really creepy whether it's true or not.

I don't know if I believe that we'll stop existing if we see someone that looks very similar to ourselves. I do however believe that their are so many people living on this planet that there is bound to be another person out there that looks extremely similar to us.
