I just completed reading Charles Dickens book "A christmas Carol"
Its a good book with pleasing story and exotic language. Its funny, witty and has smart plot.Its about a stingy person and all the ghostly affairs that open his eye to little joys of life. Its both humorous and solemn. It was written in 1843 by Charles Dickens.

I've read it, but I didn't like it much. Not in the sense that I didn't like the book itself, I just had seen it and read it and head it so many times, it's such an over-adapted and over-retold story. I'm not really opposed to lots of adaptations or retellings, it just made me dislike the book this time. I'm also just not very fond of Charles Dickens. I completely hated everything else I was forced to read by him.

I don't think anybody's ever in a position to rate writers, except on a personal level. I don't like Charles Dickens, but he is considered one of the greatest classic writers in history.

A Christmas carol is my favorite Christmas story. It was read to me first when I was little and, although it had some scary parts, I think that also added something special to it. It is not only a story, but a lesson on how to live.

Charles Dickens is one of my favorite authors. I have read a number of novels by Charles Dickens, and keep a colletion of them too. Yes, Charles Dickens is very good story writer, and his books are really classics in the literature. Very nice to know that you enjoyed reading "A Christmas Carol".
