I am not liking this feeling...

My office mate/friend from Zamboanga who helped me get this job suddenly took a leave to go home to Zamboanga for a few weeks because his father passed away. Simultaneously our supervisor received a phone call and left because of an emergency . My friend said his mother is in the hospital (He heard the phone call because he was also outside talking on the phone because of his own emergency. This happening freaked me out. And now I remembered that our boss' father-in-law passed away a few weeks ago too. I'm just not spooked, I'm scared. Do you think something's lingering in the air? My dad has had some health issues which left him paralyzed and I've been praying he's in better condition now. I don't want anything to happen, and if there is something lingering in the air here, I don't know what to do. Should I leave? Or should I stick around and find out if it's just my crazy head? I don't want to be proven wrong. That's not just it. My friend's going home to Zamboanga. My boyfriend is going home too. It's his vacation he's been planning since last summer (April). He's supposed to be visiting me, but as it turns out I already came after him. He has to do some paperwork though because we're taking our review for the board exam this September. My brother is also going home. A week after my boyfriend's. Also a vacation, it's his birthday that week. So you should understand that I'm green with envy. I miss home! And now I'm not sure if my fear in this office has been in some parts influenced by my want to go home! So I don't know anymore. There's a lot going on, but none involving me. And I'll be totally alone going crazy!

I've been on that situation before but worse than your current situation. When I was in 3rd year high school, there are rooms in our school where a lot of rare things happened. It was occupied by our seniors during that time. It is said that 3 seniors had either their mother or father passed away when they are in that room. Of course that is just coincidence. When we are already 4th year high school, we occupied those rooms. Two of my classmate's father passed away. After two months, my dad passed away as well. Of course, they think that those rooms are cursed. But I still believe that it has nothing to do with the room. If my dad's time is up, I really don't have a direct control on it whether we change rooms or not.

Oh that's freaky as well chiwasaki. And you're right, we have no direct control on what's happening. If it's time, then it's time. I don't believe in coincidences though. But I accept the logic of "it's his time". It's easier to accept a certain fact that way, than thinking of the what-ifs right?

Your fertile imagination is playing tricks. Agreed some things coincided. But these do happen and we should not attach some eerie things to these happenings. Take it easy. Heave a deep inhalation and exhalation.

Thanks arlerambabu. I'll try breathing deeply. I'm a scaredy-cat, you see. This trick could help me relax during the times my mind plays tricks on me. Thanks.
