Any ideas on how to fall asleep??

This sucks I have to be at work at 11 at night and I just cant get to sleep!! I napped for two hours woke up and ate now I cant get back to sleep. Im going to be soooo tired when I go to work...

If you can't sleep at night, try reading some book. Most of the time we feel sleepy while we read. This happened to me and most of my friends also told me that they used this technique to fall asleep at night. You may also try to listen some music at low volume. Close your eyes and listen to the music. It may help you to fall asleep.

You could tire yourself all day so you'd sleep like a baby after. Drinking milk has always made me sleep easier.. or you can just close your eyes and don't think of anything, after a while you're just gonna drift off to sleep.

Hello penny and welcome to myLot. It has been some years since I worked nights. But here's how I get to sleep. I keep a small fan on all night for the white noise. I also do some reading to get me to relax. Then I have gotten some advice from the Dr Oz show a while back. Count backwards starting with 300. I have to get up sometime at night to go to the bathroom and until I started doing the counting I had a hard time going back to sleep. Now days I don't often get past 298. I go 3300, 3299, 3297 and I'm out until morning.

Try to relax, physically and menatlly. That will help. If you have things on your mind, that will hinder falling asleep. Yoga meditation is one very good way to relax and get rid of the stresses on your mind. You might want to try that.

You just have to tell yourself that your not going to sleep. It's kind of like counting backwords, but easier. And drink a glass of milk before you go to bed.Also forget your in your bed. Forget that your pillow is uncomfortably stuffed up in your neck and that your sweating out of your brains.Oh and think about something good in your life like a relationship with that special guy or when your birthday present is coming in the mail from your mom.
