I was watching Eyewitness news about how to get your unclaimed money for free after hearing this I got online to check it out I put my name in and sure enough I found two claims one from New York state dept of tax and finance under my present address the other from Prudential Financial under my old job address I mailed my claim on February 2011 On July I received two checks in the total of $509.56 a nice way to make extra money better than bills in my mail box Here is the news link and all the best http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/video?id=7978320

I have a relative who also was able to claim some "lost" money. It's definitely something everyone should look into. It's amazing how people can have money owed to them floating around that they've completely forgotten about!

Congrats to you and yes here last February I read a similar discussion where the member provided a link. Though there was no money in my name I entered my boyfriends name and Voila! I found they had $1200.00 sitting there and yes he was skeptical but I insisted on getting it as the treasury was very specific about the past employers and his details that he finally listened to me. So in June we received the check and is he ever happy he listened to me.

Good if it is true then... It is not an extra money but a lot of money instead if I was in your place... Enjoy your money then and hope that other mylotters can avail the same through what you have shared.
