Our Hindu epic Ramayan is based upon Lord Rama, he was born on 10 January 5114 B.C. This date has been confirmed by generating the position of stars on the sky on various occasions described in the book Ramayan, using the software Planetarium. So we can say, that Lord Rama was born 7000 years back subject to authenticity of the text of 'Valmiki Ramayana'. Source: Dating the era of Lord Ram; By. Mr. Pushkar Bhatnagar Published by M/S Rupa & Co. India. In Ramayan , one can read about a bridge made by soldiers of Lord Rama, that connected Rameshwaram (India) and Srilankan coast. Now Nasa has taken pictures of this bridge, here is the report. NASA SHUTTLE IMAGES OF A MYSTERIOUS ANCIENT BRIDGE BETWEEN INDIA AND SRILANKA Courtesy: NASA Digital Image Collection The recently discovered bridge currently named as Adam's Bridge made of chain of shoals, c.18 mi (30 km) long, in the Palk Strait between India and Sri Lanka, reveals a mystery behind it. The bridge's unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is manmade. The legends as well as Archeological studies reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the a primitive age, about 17,50,000 years ago and the bridge's age is also almost equivalent. This information is a crucial aspect for an insight into the mysterious legend called Ramayana, which was supposed to have taken place in tretha yuga (more than 17, 00,000 years ago). In this epic, there is a mentioning about a bridge, which was built between Rameshwaram (India) and Srilankan coast under the supervision of a dynamic and invincible figure called Rama who is supposed to be the incarnation of the supreme. This information may not be of much importance to the archeologists who are interested in exploring the origins of man, but it is sure to open the spiritual gates of the people of the world to have come to know an ancient history linked to the Indian mythology. Thus whatever has been described in the epics is true in my opinion. One of the pictures is here. What is your opinion, please share and comment on this finding. Thanks in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

Professor Sir ! Good evening. Thanks for the above useful information. What is told in our scriptures hold good for all times to come. For example television was invented only in the last century middle. We have in our scriptures examples of people witnessing others at a distance as in a television -- this came in a movie "Maya Bazaar" in tamil and telugu - must have come in hindi also? How is your health? I am sure with the blessings of God you and Kalyni madam and other family members will have fine health. Happy Raksha Bandhan!

It may have been true that it was once possible to cross from India to Sri Lanka on foot (or mostly so). I think that it is unlikely that this 'bridge' was man-made, however. It appears to be a natural formation of shoals and coral reefs. You can read much more about it (and the controversies surrounding it) here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rama%27s_Bridge
