Ive been here to my job for almost 3 years now...I am regular employee. Dont like my company. I dont like my job but i love most of my officemates... Im 28 but my work is out of my finished course. Id like to be in ACcounting Department but i have no experience and im 28. Eventhough i have no job experience i know i can do it.. though i graduated 2005 which is too long so maybe i forget some of Accounting but still id love to be working on financial statement.. :) Ive tried to pass an application to a government/non government bank but im disqualified when we talk about AGE.....It say not more than 26... I think im too old to look for a job and i dont have any experience at all... But i hope someone will give me a chance.... Whats with 26 years of age...???? Still hoping... still searching for a new accounting job so i can fulfill this "emptiness" "career" feeling ..

Hi biach17 Wow long time no see! Welcome back to you. Sad that the 26 was a factor as it is still quite young. Sadly they have such criteria and unfortunately some companies must stick to them. I would say to quietly continue to seek work and when you find the adequate one then you can leave. Sorry you are having a hard time there and wishing you find something soon.

Yeah long time "no mylotting". Been on maternity leave for almost 3 mos. Had a baby girl. After my CS delivery and got stuck at home i decided to look for another job but i am not that fortunate.... Still stress and happy at the same time because of many things to do when ur working and ur nursing a baby.... Im happy to be back.....

Very disappointing knowing that there are discrimination on age when we apply for a job.. But who knows, just try and try and prove to them that you can do a lot more better than those who are at 26 yrs... Goodluck...

Keep trying I'm sure if the right one views your resume they'll give you the chance to prove yourself. Perhaps an online refreshers course could keep you focused on what you need to remember for the job you want.
