Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas was last night waiting to fly to
Spain to complete a £35m switch after being left out of the
Gunners squad for today ’s Premier League opener at Newcastle.
Arsenal denied yesterday that a deal had finally been struck.
But reports from Spain suggested Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola
had told Fabreags to stay put until Sunday’s Super Cup clash with
Real Madrid is out of the way.
He is now expected to be unveiled as a Barcelona player at the
Nou Camp on Monday after signing a fi ve-year deal, with his
medical due to take place in the next couple of days. Barca
goalkeeper
Victor Valdes said: “I ’m not disclosing anything, but as you know it
is advanced, and although it is not official, it will surely be closed
very soon. I think that the news is almost confirmed and he will
surely come.”
Captain Carles Puyol added on Twitter: “Welcome home!!! Happy
to have you here cesc4official ooohhhh” with defender Gerard
Pique adding “Now we have him here!”
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger yesterday remained cagey over
Fabregas and fellow wantaway Samir Nasri – insisting that neither
player was fi t enough to be included today.
But despite his state of public denial he also admitted that both
stars are replaceable.
“I will decide what is best for the club,” he said. “We have enough
quality to deal with any situation. We are all replaceable. All the
centuries are full of replaceable people.”
Arsenal did boost their squad last night, after agreeing a deal with
Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa to sign 19- year old striker Joel
Campbell. what do you think about this news guys?

first of all, congratulations for Cesc who get his wishes..
finally he come back to Barcelona and Nou Camp...
But I want to see from the side of Arsenal
So far we only see how much suffering because Cesc was not allowed to leave the Emirates, but what most of us have ever seen in terms of Wenger and Arsenal fans
It's not fair, look at the imbalance news ..
Arsenal suffered greatly with this news, and of course Wenger, who has been credited with lifting Cesc Fabregas..
if cesc will not be bought by Arsenal, who does know him?? no one...
people must not forgot it..Arsenal had many give kindness to Cesc Fabregas
Players of Barcelona should not a joy over sadness Wenger and Arsenal Fans

hai nophie..how are you??
Please, do not confuse feelings with business
I think again it's just a matter of business
Wenger certainly did not let his captain to go, because an offer from Barcelona is very small
When finding an offer that fits, then of course, he only had the option to sell their captain

iam fine...what about you guys??
I do not want to confuse
The press himself who mixed up
Many comments said that Cesc is not happy at the Emirates ..
And where the comments source?? from the press and players Barcelona
Cesc himself never said the comments that he is unhappy at Arsenal
so who started first?

So again after another year this off-on saga is on again. I am actually very much fed up by this whole saga. I hope this puts a close on this topic once and for all. I think for Arsenal it might actually be good to have the Fabregas issue behind them and concentrate on the team with the current lot that would be loyal to Arsenal.
Cheers!

I think this is good news for Barcelona Fans
All players missed the presence of Cesc Barcelona, the prodigal son
You can see from all the comments of the Barca players on account of their twiter or facebook or when press interview one by one of them, welcomed with pleasure the presence of Captain Arsenal
And I think this is a good preparation for Barcelona against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup. Barcelona will receive an injection of moral good with the good news
I do not know, what's on mind of Wenger and of course the majority of Arsenal fans
Of course they will be disappointed with this news, and of course we must understand the hurt feelings of the fans arsenal
But I think cesc will be happy because he had been back to his homeland and his favourite club

I will be glad if both Cesc and Nasri goes. Hmm.. maybe I will remove Cesc from fans list at Myspace. This two guys just give negative aura to arsenal dressing room.
Cesc just missing last year. Nasri only good for the first half of the season. The core of the midfield will be Wilshere and Ramsey. I like to see them play and they just compliment each other. Both have high work rate which is something that Arsenal really need. I just hope Frimpong will not decided to represent his other country, I cannot remember what but it is an African country, and opted to wait for England call up because Arsenal cannot lose Song, Gervinho, Chamakh and Frimpong at the African Nation Cup. If both Song and Gervinho go, Arsenal will have some problem at the holding midfield role.
I didn't know much about Joel Campbell. I hope he is as good as I heard.
All the best for Arsenal.
