I know all of us have our own cellphones. Some of us don't have only one, but two or even three cellphones. Well cellphones really helps us in different things. It can help us to be connected with our family. In my part, I consider my cellphone as my best friend. It's like there is something missing from me when I don't have it on my bag wherever I go.It is also my habit to look at it every now and then to check if someone send me a message. But when I am sleeping, I don't put my cellphone beside me because I don't want to be disturb when I am sleeping. Especially when I am so tired, sometimes I turned it off just to make sure I will not get awake when it rings. How about you? Do you do the same or you just put it beside you when you are sleeping?Have a nice day to all! *angel*

Yes cellphone is necessary in our life, normally I put my cellphone beside me, but adjust it into silent tune in order to avoid being disturbed when I'm ready to sleep.

Sorry that I didn't say I turned off my cellphone when I go to sleep, what I mean is that I switch my cellphone silent to avoid being disturbed every time I go to sleep.

Hi eynjel! My cellphone is also important to me but I don't always check if I have a message or a missed call or something. I do feel something's missing, too if I don't have it whenever I go out of the house except when I'm jogging. ^^ I also don't put my cellphone beside me when I'm sleeping. I've heard of radiation causing sickness or whatever. I don't know if it's true but it wouldn't do any harm to listen to it. And besides, I don't text til night time. I do have another cellphone placed on top of a drawer beside my bed. It serves as my alarm clock. I used to sleep with my cellphone beside me before though. I stopped that habit already.

Hi there! The first time I got my cellphone, I think that was 6 years ago I see to it that I have it with me every-time. I sleep at night with my cellphone at my side. But since I heard the news about that radiation thing I stopped it and i just put it on my bedside table. Anyway, I don't mind it now because I turned it off if I am sleeping so that I cannot get disturb if someone will call me or even text me.

Cellphone - Mobile Phone
When I sleep I don't wanna be disturbed at all so unless I am waiting for an important call and had to take a nap while doing so I never sleep with cellphone by my side. I would not want to be disturbed by unimportant SMS like quotations, offers and all that!

I agree. I also do that whenever I am waiting for an important call, i see to it that I wait for that call or if I am so sleepy and cannot wait longer, I just set my cellphone's ringtone louder so that even I placed it far from me I can still hear it and take that call. Sometimes I am annoyed of unimportant messages or offers that disturbs my rest in the middle of the night.

Yes, I feel the same about my cellphone as well. I always keep it in either my bag or my pocket, and have a habit of checking it every few minutes to see if someone has sent a text or if I have missed a call (I keep it on silent frequently). It's like my own little connection to the rest of the world when I'm alone. And it's so handy. When I'm sleeping, I usually use my phone as an alarm, so I can't really turn it off. And I usually forget to set it on silent, so people sometimes call me when I'm asleep. Whenever that happens, I just hang up on them :P I know I shouldn't and it's rude, but when my sleep is interrupted, I get angry :P And I know it's my fault for setting it on ring mode in the first place, but...oops. ^.^ Have a nice day everyone!

Turn it on a silent mode so that whenever there is someone who will text or call you in the middle of your sleep you will not be destructed. I get your point sometimes, I also use my cellphone as my alarm clock but then lately, I discovered that even though your cellphone's off, the alarm will still works. Happy my-lotting!

Haha, yes, I have heard about the radioactive thing as well. So yes, it would be a good idea to keep your phone not only off, but away from you as you are sleeping, just to be on the safe side. But with teenagers and texting and all that nowadays, there will be a lot of cancer going around! Jk, I really hope not :P Have a great day everyone!

I used to be paranoid without my phone by my side. But I grew out of it. I realized that eventually, only family and work are what matters to be constantly communicated upon. I sometimes sleep with it above my head especially when I forget but even I don't think it's a good idea to let a phone stay close to you. Whenever I talked too long through a mobile phone, my ears gets too hot which most likely means that phone radiates heat or produces radiations from it little electronic chips. And have a nice day to you too.

Cellphone causes radiation which can be harmful to our health. That is why I don't sleep with my cellphone near to me just to avoid it's harmful effect. There is nothing wrong of avoiding it's bad effect though there are few who says that there is no proof yet regarding this research.

As useful as I love my cellphone, I can't say that I see it as a friend. It is just a gadget that is useful to have so that I can easily contact people should the need arise. I have never had phones in bedroom when I sleep, either landline or cellphone as it is a time for rest then. I have my voice-mail turned on, so if somebody needs to get an important message to me, they can leave a message that I will get when I am awake again. _Derek

I always put my cellphones besides me as an alarm and also most of our clients call in the middle of the night because they are based in the US. However, I lessen the times sleeping with my phone because I recently read an article that sleeping with phones can cause brain cancer because of the signal. I dont know if it is true but there's nothing wrong in believing right?

I did, but nowadays i avoid them keeping near me as they emit harmful radiations so i keep in my other room and set ringtone high in case to attend any emergency calls.

I always have my cell phone by my side. When I go to sleep, I always put it on vibration mode and put it under my pillow. I really don't know how I would function without my cell phone. I'm sure i'll manage but in this new day and age, it's almost impossible to not want a cellphone.

I can even remember how I was excited when I got my first cellphone. You're right cellphones have been the part of our lives. We get connected with family and friends and now we can also listen to music, take pictures and watch netTV ect. Actually I sleep with my cellphone at my side, I need to check time because I don't use a watch.

Since i get to know that sleeping with cell phone is not good, i don't put my cell phone near to my bed. Because i read somewhere in the internet that the cell phone can cause cancer when the radiation get to your body. So, it is better be safe than felt sorry later. It is really dangerous to put cell phone near especially to our heart area. I always let my friends and family know that they should never call me late except when it is in emergency time.

Next to my computer, this is one important thing that always by my side.It right in front of me when I am doing online activities and I bring it with my when I have to leave the house. But funny cause I don't have a text mate, if I get a text message its either one from the service provider. I have my family and close friends in my facebook , so if they need to contact me, they would just message me in my inbox.

I don't sleep with my cellphone beside me. I always plays it on my table away from my bed. I agree I don't want to be disturb during my sleep. Sometimes I even put my cellphone in silent mode so that I will really have a good night sleep. I also read from a magazine that it's not healthy to put cellphones beside us during sleeping due to radiation which could harm our body later on. Another reason why I always place my cellphone on the table away from me while sleeping is that if I set the alarm clock, I will really stand up and wake up to stop the alarm.

I always have my cellphone on the lampshade table beside my side of the bed. Sometimes, i forgot that i sent my daughter a message before i sleep, so it's my husband who answers it whenever i am already sleep and she responded. No amount of message tone could wake me up when i am already sleeping. I like it beside me, because when it alarms in the morning to wake me up, i could easily get it.

I put my cell phone on the table near to my bed. I don't switch off it until someone really irritate me. There are people who will call without any purpose and ask you if they have disturbed you. There can be an emergency call so it is wise to keep it on but not on your body. Some defective phone or batteries may harm or get blasted.

On my part, I am not turning off my cellphones when I am sleeping. My phones are always beside me wherever I am, when sleeping either it is under my pillow or at the top of my head. Cellphone are now useful because we can heard news and inform any news from our family and friends.
