I retire last year after working for 15 years in a company. I've been with different departments already, but after 15 years I really got bored and burned out from office work. Most of my friends already left the company for another company or went abroad. That's one reason why I left, It's hard to compete with the young ones. They are faster, more witty and really aggressive. Also my growing family needs me more now than ever. My kids are growing up so fast can't keep pace with them, another reason why I left work, to look after my family.
Now that I'm retired, I do a lot of things to earn money now. I'm into a lot of things lately but not much earnings yet. Sometimes I am tempted to go back to office work, but I see my family needs me more. I'm really hoping that my earning online picks up so I won't have to go back to working away from my family.

we are almost at the same age bracket. the only difference is, you reached 15 years earlier. anyway, i think you can still go back to working and if the opportunity arrives, why not grab it? but if you really want to work with your family beside you, you could find some ways online to earn. good luck.

With your professional background and many years of experience working for a big company, you may wish to think about starting your own company and business. One possibility could be Consulting. There can be people/companies who would very much appreciate and value the consultancy you can offer.

You have taken a bold move to retire from the employment world to be your own employer. I was like you once. I had enough of working for others and decided to venture into business. It was tough but I never looked back as it gave me satisfaction to see the growth of my venture.

Yes I am also at home because my mom's health is not that good anymore. I am driving her to the market everyday, accompanying her, talk to her, she became like this 4 years ago when she fed up with dad's infedilities. She thought everyone is lying to her and playing with her feelings. I am also working at home as office is not an option for me. These days, people are so money minded that they left out some precious value called love.
