Are you glad for them? I find that I am glad most for the people being successful that come up from the underground.People that make it from a bad situation, growing up poor, single parent, divorced, widowed, little education. Like J.K. Rowling, divorced and a single parent, used her imagination and thought up Harry Potter and created people and world around him.Wrote her first book, mostly sitting in a coffee shop. And,Susan Boyle cared for her sick mother for years while her siblings made great lives for themselves. And finally almost being 50 years old she enters a world know talent show and wowed everyone beyond belief with a beautiful strong voice. And Oprah Winfrey was very poor and had little education because of it.She became a reporter then a talk show hostess. Now look at her. Can you think of anyone else?

nice discussion, well these people are inspiration for others, and people coming from down are the ones who are truly eligible for fame, which they are all enjoying

I love this thread. That really is an inspiring thing for us. Zig Ziglar is once a poor kid who does not have any money. As he grew up he was able to see the reality of life and strive to be a good seller for cars. Now he has been recorded as one of the most aspiring car seller of all time and he eventually became a motivational speaker sharing his thought of success. We should be inspired by these kind of people that no matter what your status in life is, there should always be room for success.

I am definitely happy for these people, they not only manage to make it, but also become very successful through personal hardwork and relentless effort from bottom up. Thump up for all of them by setting such a good example to all of us.

Meee. Just kidding. I think those people are so inspiring and keep giving hope to others who are down. Those kinds of people are my role models and am appreciative of their existence.

I can think of someone, but he's a local business man who now owns a nationally renowned mall here in the Philippines. Back then, he only used to sell street foods for a living. Then he opened his small business of selling shoes. The gig was a hit and it became a mall right now.

I am glad for such people. I salute them for their courage to think different, passion, hard work to do best. I like people who started from level zero and reached at top. Most known people like Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Slim, Zuckerburg are few more example. Steve Jobs, his parents threw him away, brought up by someone else, founded 'Apple'.

Yes,I forgot to mention Mark Zuckerburg. There are people that are so jealous of him ,being so young and being so successful.More power to him! Instead people are always trying to trash his creation.Ok,yeah there are some problems with it,but there are always problems with everyone and everything.
