My laptop for the time being is being installed with Word 2003. I am having a problem when most of the Word documents from my friends recently are being typed in Word 07 version. I tried to download any programs that can read the document but until now I couldn't find it. Do you have any suggestion for the freeware of the programs? Can somebody help me to solve this problem?

Either have your friends convert the files into multi-platform document formatts suchs as txt, html, doc or rtf. That may annoy them, but your computer will be able to read any of those formats easily. Though most people don't like doing that. But, I'm sure your friends might. There is some open sorce software there called open office. It's supposed to read all file format's including word .doc and .docx (2007 and higher). A link can be found on www.fanfiction.net on their homepage, or at openoffice.org. It's completely free writing software. so give those a try if you want. I have an upgrade to word 2007, but it cost me a pretty penny to get it.
