I Wonder Why?

Kissing - kissing with eyes closed or open
Philippines
August 21, 2011 1:29am CST
Since we are all mature individuals here, I think no one will get offended by this post. Besides, there is nothing offensive about this. Well, I wonder why some often close their eyes when making love while others don't. Not just when making love but even when they are just kissing. I do both. I mean, sometimes I open my eyes while kissing my partner. For the reason that I want to see his reaction, maybe, wanting to know if I can see pleasure or contentment or even love or if he is also watching me while kissing him. Sometimes, I just close my eyes. When I do this, honestly, my mind wanders. It is somewhere in my own world where I can be free. Somewhere where I can liberate my thoughts and my feelings. I used to love kissing with my eyes close just to feel the motion, uninterrupted, but lately, I discovered that I love it more when I can see his face, even better if his gaze is locked with mine. Just a thought though. Have a great Sunday everyone. :-)

Men need to be mentally enticed, don't they, dear? - it could be. I'm sorry for this very late reply - no worries.

Hi, Neil. How are you and Zay, too? I hope everything is well with you and your family now. I think most men prefer to make love or kiss their wives with eyes closed. Men need to be mentally enticed, don't they, dear?;-) Well, wives benefit from it. Oh, I'm sorry for this very late reply, Neil. I got my hands full lately. Pasensya na.

First off, I don't think everyone here is mature enough! Heck! I don't think I am even mature enough to respond to this discussion. But I think the reason most people close their eyes is for the same reason you just explained. So, that each of us can get lost in our own little world.

Hello, Bounce. I stand corrected, then. Heck, I forgot that. So, you prefer this one, huh. Well, imagination works a lot especially when you are not in the mood for a little smooching but you just can't say no (husband or wife) so as not to offend your partner. Getting lost is the best escape. By the way, my apologies for the very late reply to this comment, dear. I'm jus having a hard time juggling my schedule.

Hello, Deepak dear. :-) I have read your pm. And I understand why you prefer not to disclose your comment here. But, for the sake of argument err, discussion let me answer you here first. I hope you wouldn't mind, my dear. :-) Yes, I agree with you , that sometimes it is better to close your eyes to avoid distraction. And it is also the best way to fantasize if you get so bored with your partner. Ops! I'm not saying that it is you, though. :-) What scary about having fantasies while making out is that you get too carried away and instead of calling your partner's name, it's the person's name in your fantasy that you blurted out! That could be a disaster. Oh, my! Am i becoming indecent now? I hope you're not thinknig that I am.

You have a point to make and I more or less agree whatever you have stated. (Do not worry about indecency in your comments, you were not indecent )

I don't think you can see that close especially when both lips are locked. Gaze maybe as one head approaches the other and then close your eyes with the lips touch.

Hello, Ybong. :-) Sorry dear for this very very late reply to your comment, I had been very busy lately... Well, I couldn't help smiling while reading your comment. All I can say is that you are one romantic guy. The one I only sees on movies and imagine in a love story plot of my favorite book. Heck, you are right though. It made me feel dizzy looking at my partner's face while my lips are on his.

I'm don't consider myself romantic, "malambing" maybe but not romantic. Well, open your eyes once in a while though, just to make sure you lips are on the place . Don't stare, it will freak out your partner and you'll get dizzy in the process

Can you really lock gaze with your partner? When we are kissing, the distance of our gaze would be so short that everything would be a blur and not healthy for the eyes o see something so close. I guess that's why we would automatically close our eyes when kissing, cause gazing at something so close hurt our eyes.

You have a point there, my dear Jennyz. What was I thinking? Or maybe I was also thinking of other things besides kissing. But, I did that. I tried kissing my husband with my eyes open and I was able to see his entire face. But I got tired so I close my eyes. Points well taken, dear. But let me just put a wild guess. You, too, want to kiss while your eyes closed not just because of the reason you just have stated but because it makes you feel more closer to him, right? Just curious.

Besides that I want the sensation to go on, I close my eyes cause I am a coward and do not want to see how exactly my partner's expression when kissing me....

I kiss with my eyes closed just because we are so close while we are kissing it would hurt my eyes if I didn't close them. And when we are making love I some times close my eyes I dont know why but for the most part I leave my eyes open because I like to see his face and expressions.

I see, you are a lot like me. Perhaps, we, women, are also curious about how our men behave while we are touching them. Since are, more often than not, secretive and hardly would show their emotions during ordinary circumstances, it would be best to caught them vulnerable during kissing or making love, when their acts and thought are unguarded are they are just following what they are feeling.

I always kiss with my eyes closed because I think it is kind of wierd to open your eyes and someone is so close to you, even know it's sometimes kind of comforting and all, but with my eyes closed i ffeel like i can really feel all the emotions between the two of us and i can take everything in from the kiss rather than seeing whatever else is going on around us.

Hi, SydneyJ. I knew it,you prefer with eyes closed. Well, yup, upon reading again my post I find it a little funny. I do understand what you mean. It is better to do it with eyes closed to avoid distraction and you can concentrate on the act. Ah, now, you made me think that I must be just playing when I'm kissing with eyes open.
