True meaning of friend?

There's many different kinds of friends, but a real true friend has other qualities that makes them that way. A true friend will be happy for your accomplishments, share your sorrows through the hard times, and would do whatever they were able to do if there was an emergency or something. They offer support, a shoulder to cry on, a tear of joy, a tear of shared sadness. Other friendships may come and go throughout our lives, but a true friend will be there no matter what, or how far away they live. I have a couple of true friends that have moved half-way across the country. We only get to talk about once every month or two, but email a lot. They are just as close today, despite the miles, as they were when we first met each other. A true friend is a haven where you can be yourself.
